Don't worry about it? This guy just said that he has to fight a random battle every time his XY coordinates change. That's a big problem. His leveling might shoot up, but his patience with the game will nosedive.

I don't ever remember there being a bullet schematic...if there is one, it should show up fairly early because late in the game bullets are abundant/cheap as hell. Just do other stuff untill you find a 2 scrolls of teleport (it'll happen, eventually...) or if you're a mage, learn it yourself. Sorry, but that's the best I can do...

Trash cans in Tarant have LOTS of lockpicks, especially near the black market. I guess the thieves' underground likes to keep hidden caches of emergency supplies. ^_^

Basically, the only difference is that, while you want to buy both of the items back, the camera costs in the upper thousands or ten thousands, wheras the boot is 4 to 6 gold. Of course, you could just steal the stuff back. Even non thieves can do it:

Ah... apparently, I finished the second quest without actually accepting any of them. Weird. Anyway, I went back to Stringy Pete, accepted the quest (the acceptance note was buried in dialogue), and it all went well. Thanks all!

I've got all the pieces right? I large chest of gold and 1 silver buckle?

Nothing...

Nothing's working, I've tried dropping both the treasure box and the buckles, and picking them back up again, I've gone back to Stringy Pete numerous times, I've switched out the treasure among my party, and I've waited 30 seconds or so - nothing works!

As far as I know, you can ALWAYS find an axe handle at the dealer in the northern Boil in Tarant. He's just past the tavern, a gnome or halfling, I think. He carries shovels too, which I found helpful for multiple late quests.
