1st person and 3d
About the 3d I cannot but agree with you and I think it's a step they'll have to take anyway. 3d can allow for some interesting options and can look rather good even on medium spec PCs (I'm thinking Warhammer 40000 DOW here...). It could also give more options to the level ...
