I've tried looting as well however, it's extremely frustrating to sneak up to a door/chest, disarm the trap, and pick the lock, only to find some inexpensive clothing, a couple of cheap potion ingredients, and an iron sword.

Dissapearing NPC's

I had the same problem with Valygar. He was hiding in shadows with the cloak of non detection and dissapeared when he hit a trap and was turned to stone. Was Aerie wearing that cloak? If so I don't think True Sight or other similar spells would have worked.

You can't leave the city untill you travel to the city gates section. Once you go there you can access the outdoors sections of your map.

Yoshimo is gone. .

I finally decided to reload an old save game from chapter 2. I went to the CC and Yoshimo was there. Then I went to the Graveyard I sided with Bodhi and headed back to the CC. Spoiler,

Evilness

I usually play good or neutral parties however this time I am a NE half-orc F/T. One benefit that can offset high item prices do to low reputation is pickpocketing or stealing items. There are also some quests that can be finished differently if you choose different dialogue options.

Zapped by an alien space ray!

I played Balder's Gate many times and don't rember getting hit by lightning. Then one day I installed TOSC and my party started to get hit on occasion. Is it possible that it was an effect added in the expansion?

Docks District

I do believe Yoshimo is connected to the theives guild. If you arrive in the docks area with him in your party he suggests you visit the guild so he can clear up an obligation he has with them. This is one way to start the rival guild quest.

Jon Irenicus

This character is really annoying! "They act sooner than I anticipated...blah, blah, blah." Every time his plans are thwarted by my characters, yet he continues to believe he will triumph and be the top Bhaal spawn. He should quit while he is behind.

Have you sided with Bodhi or the shadow thieves yet? When I sided with Bodhi I was going to bring Yoshimo with me to spellhold. However he was no longer at the Copper Coronet (neither was the Tuigan bow he was carrying). I did not do a reload to see if siding with Bodhi ...

The Jansen Home is in the slums district east of the Copper Coronet. Go inside there and look around. Hopefully he is waiting there to sell you some fresh turnips.

Being silly?

I agree that the above method is elaborate, however the question was "Is there any other way ...?". I have killed npc's I didn't want in my party before. This is just another way of removing someone. Think of it as leaving someone to watch over your room, or pay your bills. :D ...

Paired NPC's

Have the npc you do not want go into a room by on their own. Shut the door, then remove him from the party. As long as you do not have anyone else enter that room the other member of the pair will not leave. I believe this will work for any of the paired npc's.

Thanks for your help. I guess this most be an installation problem. It will be very frustrating to attempt to play the game without going in to the Copper Coronet. I will not be able to get to Nalia's keep, the Slavery Compound, or the Windspear Hills. Plus I will miss out on some of the npc's that ...

Yes I have. I also tried to delete area 0400 files including A,B,C, & D, then replacing them with the files from cd 2. Are these the Slum disctrict and Copper Coronet files? Unfortunately I do not have administrator privileges available right now so I can't reinstall at this time.

Everytime I enter the Copper Coronet my game crashes. I have heard that I should try a uninstal/reinstal to fix this. Is it possible to replace the area file directly from the CD instead? If so which area file would I replace?
