In a lot of games armor reduces damage, etc. and you get massive HP increases. In D&D your HP ...

They definitely need to go into the "data" folder. You might have to restart your campaign, but I'm not sure.

The zip comes with other files besides the .dll. If I recall, there should be a folder called "data" in there as well. There is also a data folder in your main ToEE directory. Take the contents of the data folder in the zip and put it into the data folder in your game directory. These files are ...

You can check the numbers by clicking the little d20 symbol in the lower right and then clicking the "miss" report to see a breakdown. Most likely you're just rolling really low, but if there's something else going on, you should get some hint there via modifiers and such.

I have zero experience running this game on anything other than XP, but it wouldn't surprise me if either the game or the patches need special tinkering to work with Win7. I'd go to the forum at http://www.co8.org and ask there. They are very technically savvy and helpful. They have more up-to-date ...

D&D is designed (in theory) with a delicate balance of power in mind. Give a party too much money and it greatly increases their power. It goes hand in hand with gaining abilities as you level that you also gain steadily in the gear department. So, while you will gain more and more money as you go ...

It seems Moebius' temple.zip is getting hard to find. None of the old links or mirrors seem to have it any longer.

That means I can't find it atm, but I do know it's included in the co8 mods. My suggestion would be to go to co8.org and check out the forums there for info on the latest mods they ...

This is all great stuff - it's tremendous to be getting advice so many years after the game came out! :D Heh, yeah, well the rules are pretty much D&D 3.5, which I still play. I just hope I remember the idiosyncrasies of ToEE and don't lead you astray! :D

OK, so once a character has the Craft ...

1 and 2, yes and yes, iirc.

+n just requires 3xn caster level. No spell prereq. (this, btw, is why you can only go to +3: the original game was capped at 10, so you'd never have the 12 caster levels needed for +4).

Getting past DR is done in any number of ways. The higher +n isn't huge in this ...

You should also be able to click some symbol or other on their portrait to remove them from the party.
