IWD2 isn't too hard, I played my first run at normal difficulty and my party got only erased once in a battle, but the second attempt succeeded.
IWD2 offers a a lot more freedom at party creation and party development than the other IE games and therefore far more freedom to make an ineffective ...

How long is it taking your people to try to hit Cathin? How high is the difficulty set to? Are you using magical weapons? I don't remember her being an issue, but it might be that I had a different group. What is your party made up of?

I've always been left with massive amounts of gold at the end of any of the IWD or BG games, which I guess comes from being keen to pick up EVERYTHING and selling anything we didn't need rather than just dropping it.
What DOES ANNOY THE HELL OUT OF ME about IWDII is how disturbingly difficult it is ...

Just tried installing and playing IceWind Dale. It's doing the same thing there too. When I went through Neverwinter Nights, it didn't appear to affect it though.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game several times and it's done nothing. I don't see how updating drivers would change anything as I've played BGII numerous times on the same computer and never had a problem until now.

Nothing on my computer is wireless. I've switched keyboards and that's not helping either *cries*

Ok, I made it to level 2 of Durlag's tower and everything was going fine until I picked up the red wardstone in the bedroom. Does anybody know a way to manually take off the exp cap on BG? The computer the game is installed on does not have internet access, so the patches are out of the question. Thanks!

From what I recall, there are 2 to 3 ettins in the area with the giant statue and myconids basically everywhere. It's the only place in IWD that respawns, as far as I know.

Is there any way to raise someone who's benn stoned by CLUA? I seem to have gotten Minsc stoned by a beholder, but I can't find his body ANYWHERE! I'm not sure what to do.

Amazingly enough, it worked one time, and none other. Most of the times, the Wolfwere could walk right THROUGH the wall of skull traps and never set them off. Curious to see if they really worked, I walked Edwin into them. Edwina, RIP
