Im playing Mass effect for the first time now and Im trying to use the intergalactic map that is in the Normandy ship.

The problem: When I try to open the map the "map" turns black and all I see is a the small blue textsquare in the upper left corner (either "window", "serpent nebula" or "the milky ...

I'd say that the tremere is the best clan of them all so you're doin' the right thing liking them ;)

Although, what you really should aim for in the game with a tremere (easiest way for me at last) is to take dominate to level 3(suicide) and thaumaturgy to level 3(bloodshield).

As you said, Morrowind is a far more advanced game than Oblivion, and has a fully more worked out story.
And the really good thing about morrowind is that it takes AGES to complete.

But what I like with Oblivion is still that everything goes a lot ...

If you dont have any skills in marksman, the gatekeeper is the absolute toughest enemy in the whole game. I was a battlemage at level 25 when I encountered him and I got my ass kicked so hard I could'nt stand for a second.

Although if you have considerable skill in marksman he's no problem ...

What you can do to save some money and enchantment is to have an heavily enchanted bow and original steel arrows for killing, when the bow is out of charge, switch to some enchanted arrows

Try to reload the quest, the game have those problems sometimes.
The point is that when you "revive" him he's going to talk to you and say "im a bit stiff but its okay". So you are not the one who should start the dialouge and that's where the problem is.

But try to reload, should work after that.

You may just have to try and reload before the quest started, it was the same problem with me when I where going to kill faelian for the DB. Or you may just have to rest inside the house a couple of times and re-enter the house over and over again until he pops up.

When you get the independent thievery quest you should really set your base of operations up in the imperial city.

I didnt have that much of a problem with her, I bash in with mace and shield and frequently cast paralyze spells on her and then hit her with my daedric mace until she rises, then I do the same thing again. Paralyze spells costs a lot of mana though so you better be prepared for that ...

As the previous guys said, upgrade the RAM is the best option,
but what you also can try(if you have not already done it of course) is to upgrade the game itself, try patching it up, Ive played numerous of games that runs a lot better when Ive patched it up :)

It's simple really if you have enough sneak(or the obfuscate skill above lvl 2).

You sneak in, plant the cameras, no one sees you.
Walk to her computer, use the net command and password (cleopatra if Im not mistaken). Use the command for starting/detecting the cameras and Voila, done and done ...
