I am at the bottom of athens and I have defeated the monster, but the npc that I am suppose to speak to will not speak to me. He didn't move from the hallway into the room and there is no mark above him indicating that he is a person that u can talk to.

wear the relic robes because they helped against the locus swarm attacks.
the gas mask protects against gas attacks.
pause, use e key when frozen, also after using healing spell or potion.

u have to talk to the messenger at the unholy arc before u can enter the tomb of souls. save before placing the blood, wait for messenger to show up, try standing in different spots to see if this helps (try north and to the right of unholy arc first), if messenger gets stuck in trees, reload and ...

I killed the witch, but the ward is still up. How do I remove the ward?

when u first enter the room, the platforms will go down to set thenselves. Then as the last platform goes down, jump for the first platform because it should be just coming up. If u miss, leave the room for a short time and reenter, this will reset the platforms.

u need just 1 moonstone to use the gates. To use a gate u have to travel overland to the gate to get the sigils. each gate has 3 sigils that ID that gate. its hard. I cast rune armor for extra protection. I someone suggest keeping his summoned monsters between u and him. U may want to summon creatures of your own. I also used a shield of 100% pro magic to protect me. dodging of course. only the relic can kill him.

i found him south of the road closer to fargrove than arindale. east of wooden elf walls and tree houses, west of fargrove and south of the road. he charged me when i came upon the campfire.
