Don't hurry out to buy new PC gear

If I were you, I would not do anything to address the performance problem with the game until a patch is released for the game specificlally to address performance.

There are folks with screaming fast game rigs that are having the exact same issues as mentioned ...

I was able to set their actions to do very little on their own and it works fine for me... not sure if it was the use items during combat that controlled it or what, but I Can give them potions and wands and such and they never use them unless I control them.

I have to admit though, that I like ...

Ummm yeah

You all do realize that you cant sit through a region loading more than maybe 3 times before the little loading screen says "you need fire or acid to finish off a troll" right??

This is not a spoiler or secret or anything special... it is in the manual, several hints around the game ...

I am not sure I understand how you could have 7 skill in both of those magic skills by level 10, but maybe if you have not other skills and no stat improvements it is possible. But then, you might well be expected to be 2nd tier of your class to use those and that may have an impact on spell success ...

I think your biggest problem is the 17 and 13 skills in magics -- did you really see any difference going over like 10 in those? Enough to warrant the loss of enough XP to buy 50 other skills?

I know I never saw a benefit to going over 9 or 10 in magic skills.. there was just little or no ...

Yeah, it does not actually check them correctly it seems - which means you can get the advanced classes FAR earlier than you should be able to. I was a ninja lord at level 14, and if you add up the skill and stat requirements it is impossible before level 20+

I have to completely separate games going and they work fine - I use the saves on one side for one game and the saves on the other side for the second game.

The only downside I see with ninjutsu is the range loss compared to many weapons. You just cant keep the stuff off of you as well with your hands and feet because you dont reach the enemy until they are much closer and can hit you as well.

Of course, with a little skill and willingness to move ...

Well that must suck ...

I have it at 9 so far, I am level 18, and I kill things with XP values up to 10,000 points pretty commonly with one hit. I would say out of a group of 5 or 6 mobs that I have to fight, I will kill at least one of them with a single hit... It is not always the first hit on ...
