Thanks for the response. I guess I'll stick to 1.4, and just hope that D.W. Bradley is able to get out another game someday. Dungeon Siege II is worth a look, I guess.

Looking for an update

I played through Dungeon Lords (twice!) a good while back. Since then I've played through Deus Ex, Sacrifice (outstanding!) and played Oblivion until I got tired of it.

I believe I enjoyed Dungeon Lords more than any of them (except maybe Sacriifice) and I wondered if anyone could recommend a new ...

If you didn't, you need to talk to Staroxia to get a certain password. Also note that if you turn in the relics, you get attribute bonuses.

Mike: Thanks. I did have a lot of fun with this game, and the forum. I will skip DS. My next venture will be Oblivion (the followup to Morrowind). Supposed to be available Dec. 6th.

Gobatcha: Works like a charm, eh? Have fun with the demon.

Moderator: Good on the sticky. It's nice to know that if ...

Go up and hit each of the three statues. If I recall correctly, that gets things started.

Demon Key, Nether shoulders, Voraatus

I used the method in the post I just bumped to the top to HEX edit the demon key into my inventory. No problems. I got over 1.400,000 points for the demon AND the two chests in his room contain high-powered stuff. Curiously enough, the next time I looked (after several saves and reloads) the key was ...

I certainly agree about Morrowind, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who couldn't spend a couple of months doing nothing else outside work. It's almost as if it's a place to live, rather than a game. I spent much time on mods and wandering around -- tried to dress all the members of the Mage's ...

True, true. This is getting interesting. I wasn't thinking about the interface, and I may be missing the original point. For interface, the best similarity that comes to my mind is American McGee's Alice, or maybe the first Tombraider. But they wouldn't exactly count as classic rpg games.

I was ...

I think everybody should play Morrowind and especially Planescape:Torment, but to me they both had a different sort of feel than Dungeon Lords.

Try Wizardry 8. It has some old-fashioned features (including a party) and some flaws, but a lot of the same feel as this.

congrats !

Thanks for checking that green square. As I said, my first time there was a grove there and a number of walking trees. Not being too strong, I ran. This time there was nothing.

I see from your other posts that you slammed right through the shadow ruins. Hey, congratulations! I'll bet ...

I like it

I've played through most of the major titles. I've enjoyed this game as much as any and more than most, despite the many flaws and difficulties. It's the only game except Planescape:Torment that I've ever wanted to play more after the first time through.

According to posts on this ...

dunno

I did rescue the other guards, and walked back to get the 10k bonus. I had the saved game, but there were so many possibilities I didn't try much. Whether or not you got the golden key first, whether or not you released the other thieves, whether or not you killed the Naga, and now whether ...

You will get many of the swords of stone inside the Shadow ruins. They are 'pro stone 50%' or some such. But as I said, we're making too big a deal of the Shadow ruins. Don't worry about it (although I do want to hear).

Gobatcha: That's the same experience I had. I did save and tried a couple of times. No dice.

On nauselom. stock up characters -- deathlords, say, to summon. I just finished Nauselom the second time. More trouble than I expected -- primarily due to overconfidence. Nonetheless, just a long sequence ...

water jump and stone guardians

Just went through the shadow ruins, up to Nauselom. This time I was interested to get to the water jump, considering all the talk about it.

I went over the first try. I replayed six or eight times, and went over on about half the tries. This shows that it's not that bad once you get the method. If ...
