Actually it depends on what you are fighting...a nice little Nishruu is really cool against some stupid mages, including Jon Irenicus...he is just so cute always healing the Nishruu with his spells, wasting them and losing even more when the Nishruu hits.....it is really a great summon.

Altogether ...

And thick as hell? Oh no that would probably not fit him right...however there ain't anything like arrogance or something.

Actually Boromir(just as Aragorn, although with him it depends if you want strider or the actual elassar) would need lots of charisma...

Well he is tougher. It is not just you that profites from the higher XP cap....he is way stronger, too. However bigger changes come with his allies, as they even use cloudkill which they would not without TotSC....

About the other thing....it doesn't actually matter when you get the other party ...

Luckily they have lots of doors in the parts where there are mind flayers. Open a door rock them with a cloudkill, close the door. Usually you can do that one or two times...but as nearly every hallway has a door you can retreat and play the game again a door back....

Works. Umber Hulks hate ...

Absolutely, best way to play Baldurs Gate is probably starting alone or with just one or two companions, clearing out the wildernes Areas. As soon as you get to decent levels you can take up another companion and another one and so on....they are quite low with their experience, but that won't ...

Actually I play with a Male Fighter/Cleric (Human though) at the Moment. Starting Stats:

St: 18
Dex: 18
Con: 18
Int: 10
Wis: 18
Cha: 10

a little higher Charisma would probably have been better....but whatever.

Using Bassilus`Hammer, shield +1, boots of avoidance, spells mostly raise undead, cure ...
