Okay so I know that everyone is tired of posts like this but I really can't seem to get this to work.
My pictures are .bmp files, they're the right size, their names are blueL.bmp and blueS.bmp so I'm pretty sure the names are right, they're in C:/Program Files/Black Isle/Icewind Dale II.
I ...

Hey I Have Decided to replay this game again and right now my Characters are at level 6 and 7 and none of them are multiclassed so i might decide to put a level of ranger on my fighter but no more. Or An even more interesting idea is to maybe even put some levels of druid on my barbarian my the ...

BTW, I was reading thru the barrow wight's dialog and discovered that there's an alternative way to appease the wight other than finding and returning his horn.

Spoiler below...

A bard with a high enough diplomacy skill (6+), and enough INT/CHA(9+) and bard levels (6+), can sing the wight a song ...

Jose, IIRC, you are accurate that there isn't an option to tell the barrow wight that you'll help him. I think that you have to simply leave him alone, and once you've found what he's lost, you return it to him.

I agree that from a story-telling standpoint, it might have been better if the dialog ...

I don't mean to come off sounding overly harsh, but I've never understood why Battle Squares was so difficult for some people to figure out. Oh, I understand why doing all 250 individual battles is incredibly tedious, which is why I always use the Ease of Use mod to skip it now. But BSQ is nothing ...

One way I was able to make the monk more effective earlier is to get the Weapon Finesse feat and use light blades. My monk has 20 Dex and only 12 Str. Your BAB must be at least +1 before you can take this feat. A pure monk will need to be level 3 before you can take it, so for the Prologue your ...

I would encourage you to try a monk if it interests you. Just be prepared to have to wait until mid to high levels before he really starts to be effective.

I'd agree with this... I'd also suggest that until you feel that the monk can be competent in melee, its best use might be as an archer and ...

Kmonster is correct. When you're going to be engaging the mindflayers, it really helps to have the party buffed. Emotion Hope and Magic Circle ag. Evil are both good because of their long durations.

Something else to consider is that IF a party had a bard in it, two of the bard songs provide ...

I have a 5 man party now:

Paladin, Fighter, Cleric , Rogue and a wizard(necromancer)

1 -Level difference in party will effect general XP?

For example: my rogue 1 level higher than other party members, should i keep him low level until the others reach him?

Unless you really feel confident ...

Yes, charm spells are based on Will saving throws. According to the description in the manual, PfEvil should provide "immunity to control spells or effects", though I ...

Call me old school, but to me, D&D games are all about parties, and aren't meant to be about solo adventurers. Playing D&D CRPG's with a solo PC seems entirely too much like some Nintendo game, at least IMO.

Gimme a full party every time!

Gate is quite useful. The spells that summon uncontrollable entities (elementals, demons) are best used for big fights, either in the number or strength of monsters that your party is facing. If demons/elementals don't have anything to fight, they tend to roam. They also will not follow your party ...

I understand that it is real time that is important, not game time, so if you leave your game running but paused whilst you have tea, take your dog for a walk, or whatever, when you return, you will probably find that things go much quicker.

This is EXACTLY what I did in my last party where I ...

If you like to backstab, then the fighter-thief multiclass is probably best. Otherwise, I think that the swashbuckler makes the regular game easier.

I agree with Saros when hs says "Depends wholely on your party". Since there are other NPC's who will either be better with certain weapons than Minsc (i.e. Korgan) or there are other NPC's whose class(es) limits their
choice of weapons, Minsc "best" weapon choice seems to be whatever will work ...

Well, if I need a maximum AC(for a Cleric, preferably), then I'd wear any time the Sentinel+Physical mirror spell against arrows if needed. The Fortress Shield is somewhat good in chapter 2 and 3. Afterwards, it becomes useless.

Not true. It may be come less useful, but never useless. The word ...
