I got through the hole in the Beholders Cave, and it was piece of cake. By the time I got to it, my character had advanced to Rogue 14 / Fighter 10 / Shadowdancer 1. At that point, her relevant skills were Hide 44, Move Silently 44, and Search 30. Her Lore and Spellcraft were zero or near zero, but ...

Easy, but long, way to destroy The Maker in HOTU (SPOILER)
My 11/10/1 rogue/fighter/shadowdancer could not scratch The Maker, a demi-lich. Her +10 composite longbow got nothing but "weapon ineffective messages," even with magic arrows and +5 arrows. She has a high Use Magic Device skill; so she tried using a scroll for Black Blade of Disaster, a spell that ...

Question about the hole in the Beholder Caves, HOTU Ch 2
In Hordes of the Underdark , Chapter 2, the Beholder Caves have a hole that negates all magic, magical items, and potions. Playing as a cleric, I had to cheat to get through the hole. My Lore and Spellcraft were too low to access the door to the west, and I could not get through, or around, the ...

This was a game worth playing, and saving for replay.
This was a good game with a good story. It lived up to my expectations even though I used codes one time. At the beginning of the game I used the console to max out my Toreador’s skills in Firearms and Perception. (I’m just not obsessed with challenge.)

Levels of Difficulty for VTMB
This is just a suggestion. I think some viewers will disagree with the specifics, but I think the basic idea is workable. Maybe it, or something like it, should have been included in one of the patches.
With only a little work, levels of difficulty could be programmed into VTMB by varying the ...

I live in Los Angeles, and since I've started playing VTMB, I've been believing there really are vampires. You mean there aren't? Gosh, what a relief!

[QUOTE=yrthwyndandfyre]I can totally dig that. My point is that I would rather have a defeatable boss that I have to save/load a hundred times to defeat than an un-defeatable boss that no number of save/loads would help. That kind of burns off the fun. Ming was tough. That's OK. I found a way, in ...
