I'm assuming you mean chapter 2, because chapter 1 is pretty much limited to Irenicus' delightful indoor tavern and grill. Chapter three centers around the conflict between two parties in Baldur's Gate, so there is no problem with dropping that and picking up all the earlier quests.

Two of my NPCs acquired some special abilities on their last level up, but they havnt shown up in their special ability icon. Any idea where they might be or what i did wrong?

LOL.......Frustrating one isn't she! There is an entry in her NPC section of the BG2 page which suggests going somewhere outdoors and letting the game sit for a few hours until a dialogue initiates. Im not certain, but I think purchasing the locket is a fairly integral part of the romance early on ...

I too thought Jahiera and me were getting along fine until I reached Bodhi and nothing happened. Sadly I was unable to fix our romance. I did however submit a similar thread to yours. Perhaps some of the advice in that might help you.

Interesting........pardon my ignorance but how is that done? I would have thought that if all the hulks are dead there would be no reason to lure them away with the stew, therefore making the stew useless. Are you saying that I can kill all the hulks, get the XP then throw the stew into the pit ...

Pretty sure Ive said this before, but if you're going to run with Aerie, pick her up at the start and stick with her (dont swap her around). She needs a fair bit of XP before she really comes into her own, but with the right equipment she can be pretty awesome ...

Without stating the obvious. Do your best to keep him pinned to the one spot. If he gets mobile he'll pick off each of your NPCs separately and the battle will be over very quickly in his favour. Keep your spell casters well back from the fight and spread out around the cavern, casting the spells ...

These experiences with a Wild Mage always make me giggle a little and make me want to take some of them along for the ride, just to spicen the Baldurs Gate excitement up.
