Gah, I was about to install the game the other day, but for some reason my SoA CD is gone. I've got the four-pack and every other CD is there, lol. So yeah, I wont be playing BG for a while unless I get my hands on SoA, which are not sold in the stores these days. :(

Heya, seeing as I can't stop thinking about playing thru BGII again for the 11547th time I was merely wondering if anyone's tried it on Windows 7 yet? I'd give it a go myself but I'm still waiting for my new rig

Having more fun playing through BG2 for the godknowshowmany'eth time, than playing DA:O. Couldn't even go through it twice. The lack of spells/abilities/classes/items/shops/areas etc. just didn't do it for me. :/

Uhm, would you mind answerring another question regarding TotSC? My party is about level 7-8, how difficult would you say Durlag's Tower is? In comparison to the Ice Isle, which I've just completed.

My problem is, the boy hasn't approached me, and Officer Vai isn't at the Jovial Juggler's. My it's not that much of a problem anymore, as I've sold the scalps to the wizard at High Hedge.

I've been waiting to get approached by the little kid who says there's an officer in the Jovial Juggler's inn to see me, so I can sell off the Bandit's Scalps I've been collecting. Needless to say, this hasn't happened yet ...

As a last try I reverted back to the 169.21 forceware drivers from Nvidia, and guess what, I've been playing Mass Effect for the past two three hours or so! Only downside is the loading sequences takes a bit more time. Small price to pay though.

Mhm. I'm playing it real safe though, doing as you recommended, making backup saves all the time and if the game lags for a second I don't start bashing keys. Anyways, I'm going to stop playing methinks, this just isn't worth it. If I get to play for more than an hour straight it's because I'm lucky ...

Hm. When you put it like that I guess the game doesn't really crash unless it's that Rendering failure box popping up. It freezes, like you said, the screen freezes and I can still hear the music going in the background. It's not a cracked version. :(

I'm guessing it is overheating, I did clean out my computer a few hours ago, I also did a clean re-install of Mass Effect. I've been monitoring my CPU's temperature and it's usually at 33*, however when I start the game it quickly hits 45-50*. I'm guessing the black screens and the crashing comes ...

So after having bought and installed Mass Effect the other day I've encountered numerous technical issues. I can rarely play for more than an hour and a half before it locks up. Either it crashes, causes a black screen(in which I have to pull the plug) or a rendering problem which crashes the game ...
