Though I've yet to play them myself (hope to start in the next couple days), posters on GameFAQS and NWNVault.ign both mention:

The 5-Part ShadowLords series, which begins sub-par but gets better with each chapter. However the reason to play these is that they are the prequels of:

The DreamCatcher ...

Ah, Sojourner...when I first discovered these boards so many months ago, you already had a long history of solving people's BG2 technical problems. My thanks for your tireless efforts on these boards. ^_^

I did indeed have that conversation, and told Sarevok in a nutshell "your destiny is your own ...

Sarevok alignment (SPOILERS)

It's my understanding that to change Sarevok's alignment, you have to choose NOT to force him to take an oath when you recruit him...correct?

My question is...is it possible to rectify this after the fact, with ShadowKeeper or otherwise? (A Global variable or Affect that can be 'undone' or unset ...

The Forgotten Wars Projects folks (Kelsey, Rowan and other mods) have a discussion on a post-ToB project as well.

Check it out here:

I'm not sure if it's evolved beyond the above thread yet, but Silverose seems to be ...

Thanks Sojourner!

One more quick question--does that mean if I kick Jaheira out before any romance has initiated, it is "terminated" anyway? Or does the Jaheira immediate-termination only apply after it has reached the committed stage (JaheiraRomanceActive=2)?

Romance cancellation requirements

*MILD SPOILERS*

Question for you all: I know that if you are in a romance with someone (notably Jaheira) and then you kick them out of the party, the romance terminates...correct?

What if you kick her out before the romance initiates? Can you then have her rejoin and establish a romance as normal ...

However once you level over them, they no longer stay that far above you. THey level only when you level, and in that case Tomi wouldn't level up to 5 until you got to 6.

Ah, that makes sense, as Tomi hasn't levelled up quite some time. I magine this artificial one-level difference is there to ...

Kameleon--see my edited post. Your hirelings/henchmen get an equal share of all XP earned, whereas summoned creatures do not.

One thing that confuses me:

with a hireling (who has to be one level less than me and so will lower my average)

What do you mean, when you say the hireling has to be one ...

The XP system in 3rd Edition is based on two things: your Effective Party Level and the Challenge Rating of your opponents.

Defeating creatures whose Challenge Ratings are higher than your party level is worth huge XP. If your average party level is 4, defeating a creature of CR 6 is worth twice as ...

Don't forget another reason to start with an 18 in your spellcasting attribute beyond the bonus spells: the DC to save against them. The saving throw DC of your spells is 10 + Spell's Level + Your Spellcasting Attribute Bonus. Starting with an 18 Charisma vs. a 15 Charisma means enemies will have to ...

That's part of KensaiRyu's "improved wilderness encounters" which you can get through either installing Deeper Shadows of Amn, or (I believe) the Solaufein mod.

I guess it depends on what type of character I am.

Greater Whirlwind gets the most use by far, so that would be my fighter choice. You can take a solo fighter through the game without terrible difficulty by abusing it.

Thieves are more tricky, but probably Assassination. Sure, lots of baddies are ...

Hi Fable, the same error message applies to all the mods if you try to unzip the file to anywhere but the main BG2 directory. Depends. Lowering saving throws at that point in the game is fairly pointless, as most high level characters will have saves in the negatives anyway. Raising a prime attribute is very nice, but you can raise all sorts of attributes using Lum the Mad's machine (that is the right name ...

First of all, you don't *need* to be in a romance with an NPC for this quest to be completed. Baarn, if no one from your party was abducted when you met Bodhi at the entrance to the Graveyard District, you can ignore all the stuff about books and abductions.

Second, you need to have Holy Water (can ...

Actually, someone created the Hackmaster +12 (I don't remember the site specifically), but it has a 5% chance of beheading the wielder on each strike. Rendering it essentially useless.

Still, with all the mods for NPCs coming out, you'd think someone would be able to voice over a new weapon like ...

First Andone, it doesn't bother me (as I've beaten ToB) but be careful putting plot spoilers in your subject lines...

It sounds like you have Ascension installed, and as several other posters here can attest to, it is *hard*. If you don't have Ascension installed, you can ignore some of my advice ...
