Elaine Cunnningham writes much better stories about surface elves starting with a Harper book called Elfshadow. The book is great for introducing the different types of elves.

It means you get 2 attacks on even rounds and 3 attacks on odd rounds.

Anomen is a duel class fighter/cleric. He is not a very good cleric when you get him because of low wisdom, but after a quest his wisdom improves.

Viconia is a drow cleric not multi class, but the best cleric in the game

Haer'Dalis is a complete wimp, I would replace him with Korgan (best fighter).

The spell chaotic commands gives some protection against mindflayers psi blasts.

You can kill the dragon before going to the Order of the Radiant Heart and still get the stronghold. The only difference is that you don't get any XP for killing Firkaag

Do you know any where that I can get a map for Temple of Elemental Evil. Now that I'm a DM, I wanted to go through the module with a group of players, but the box set I have seems to be missing a map and I don't think I want to try it without.

Anomen is a bit stuffy, but playing a female character I wanted to keep him along. I solved the dex/AC problem with the gauntlets of dexterity and with his high strength he now he is one of my 3 major front line fighters. The only problem I have with him is that is THAC0 is lower than a normal ...

For sentimental reason my favourite module is the "Temple of Elemental Evil" the first D&D game I ever played.

The module is pure monster slashing and old but still fun

Illusionist/thief is a much better character class, Gnomes get +1 to intelligence and necromantic spells are mostly useless

Though if your character is going to be mainly a thief elves +1 to dexterity is very useful

This is using a bug in the game,

Send one character with high magic resistance & ring of free action after him and place all your other characters near the left hand door in the gnomes village inn.

Allow Balor to chase after the resistant up character when he runs out of spells lead him to your ...

Wizards Eye

It can take enormous amount of damage and is almost resistant to every spell (dispel magic seams to be the only thing that works). It's great for using as a diversion while attacking with missile weapons.

It is also great for exploring dungeons

Forgotten Realms is definetly the most devoloped Adnd world, wizards of the coast no longer make Dragonlance and greyhawk bores me

Besides isn't there a planescape game?
