I recall that happening to me as well once upon a time. It seems as if you do a full install for both SOA and ToB the 5th CD does not cause a problem. I know of no better forums than Gamebanshees for Baldurs Gate. You might want to take a peek in the ToB forum as well.

Solo Ascension.

Playing solo Ascension is nigh impossible with level cap. Unless your running some funky mods that give you an advantage. It is the final battle that gets you every time. If your playing with the just the patch and the ascension mod and you manage it post about it. :)

So far tried: Spellpower / Magic / Con pretty evenly.

Primal - Cold & Stone

Anyone know if the option to: 'regain all spells as if the party had just rested was removed?'

Finally got the wish spell again and noticing that option never comes up.

Soloing Sorcerer.

Probably want both to be 18 or close to it. Once you get the 'wish' spell conversing with the Djinn checks both as I recall.

Wave -vs- Stasis.

Prefer statsis as a lightsider. Wave is neutral so better suited for going dark and looking for stun sneak attack.

There are a *lot* of different tactics you can use. Best way is to choose one that matches your playing style. Do a 'search' upper right hand corner of the screen on 'solo', you'll find more information than you can probably use.

f/mu/t

Currently soloing an elven f/mu/t who dual weilds blackrazor & scarlet ninja-to. It is quite possible to get the extra attack and posion effect without editing. Just make sure the ninja-to is in your off hand.

Swashbuckler up to improved Abazigal battle is not too tough. That is when it gets very hard very quick. If you kill all the dragons (there are a ton) and save Abi for last it is doable.
