You can still play it, they reset the ladder every 4 months or so and while it's mostly bots online if you post in forums you can often find some people to play with, myself I just load 8 instances onto Bnet and have fun that way.

Diablo 2 ladder reset

Well, in case you ever played and enjoyed the game, the Diablo 2 ladders reset yesterday. By this weekend there should be public chant bots if you want to level quickly through normal and nightmare.

Well, they are now darn close to the 34 million. It's crazy. I guess everyone who will play the game will have pre ordered it.

I didn't play MotB until I found out how to disable the mechanic altogether. I always play good guys and the very notion of having to gobble down a spirit of some creature didn't sit well with me.

I did htat. Do I need to buy an updated game to get them?
You should not need to buy a new game, no.

When I built my new comp I reinstalled DAO, and it's not that tricky, you can install the DLC in any order. On your my games, registered content page you should see everything, including this ...

GoG has an install order. I really only use BGT and portrait packs, so I haven't used any of the ones you are using, besides the fixes.

Check this page http://www.gog.com/forum/general/enhance_the_gameplay_in_your_edition_of_baldurs_gate_from_gogcom

And generally follow the order, I think it ...

Next stretch goal 21 million, it's pretty crazy actually. They've raise basically 2.5 million in a month, well after the initial rush. Well, it should be good.

For Freelancer I guess I have fanwanked in the original intro which you can see on youtube, and connected it in my mind to the Wing ...

I considered backing it on KS but didn't, as I'm not ultimately really a fan of space sims (only played Freelancer, which I kinda enjoyed, and a tiiiny bit of X3:Reunion, which confused me and I gave up fast).

However, you mention a 'story with great writing'. This could change my mind, but I don ...

Star Citizen - Roberts Space Industries

Okay, I know they were more Adventure Game/Space Combat games, but for those of you who remember Wing Commander, Privateer and Freelancer, Chris Roberts is the guy that did those.

Well, a while ago they started raising money through various means (Kickstarter, etc.) to make Star Citizen, a huge ...

So, this is an old post resurrected but damn if Disqus isn't just getting worse. Buck, have you noticed a dropoff in participation with regards to comments in the news section since the switch? You've had some time to try it out. I don't like it as it doesn't seem to remember who I am from comment ...

This is one of my regular daily news sights. I am not exactly sure how advertising works but my normal way of leaving the site is to hit whatever banner ad is at the top of the page for no reason since I never really buy anything.

Does Steam have a referral program? I mean, you started posting the ...

Reviewing an MMORPG is difficult. They constantly update and change and thus the reviews become obsolete pretty quickly. They do cover them, giving news and updates and links to reviews. I don't necessarily think they should waste their time on doing a review that will probably be outdated in 3-6 ...

Bioware, for me at least, has been a gaming company that I strongly favoured. Although I loved that there are mods for the games they put out, the games were good even before the mods made them better.

With Oblivion, I was well aware that mods would be necessary to make the game better, but with ...

If my game is any guide then any plus stamina/mana in combat items will work, so the list is longer than you have there.

Of course, I use Combat Tweaks and the Rule Fix mod so I can't even really comment on the vanilla game anymore.

I played a AW/Spirit Healer through Nightmare DAO, DAA and all ...

Planescape and the Baldur's Gate Trilogy. Really, you can get the whole game for really cheap on GoG and merged into one package makes BG1 even better and BG2 somewhat more meaningful as you know and appreciate a couple of your NPCs quite a bit more.

Planescape was fantastic...well, if you like ...
