Meh... not sure I would like killing him all that much. For the time being, I'm still residing in a tax-collector-killer's shack, in old swamp hole, Seyda Neen... I started dropping stuff on the floor; and with the backup save I should be safe enough.

Question about the Calcinator

What use is it? Up to this point, I've only used a Retort and an Alembic, but I just 'bought' a Master's Alembic (actually just got it for free or 'Buy low, sell high - how to get everything you want for free' :D ), and faqs claim it increases the magnitude and duration of all effect - I assume this ...

I'm playing on the pc, GOTY, unmodded (just added it to my signature) but I am currently looking to keep it unmodded, at least for my first run-through of the game. It's just that FG's shack is becoming somewhat small. So what do I use. I DON'T want a bounty. More than half of what I'm wearing is ...

Nevermind that - I always keep a backup save from when I just loaded my stuff into the containers, so if I ever encounter any trouble, I'm safe. But I want to know whether I can safely drop stuff on the floor or not. The place is still (the late ;) )Foryn Gilnith's shack in Seyda Neen

So, basically, all skills increase your modifiers, but only your major and minor ones increase your level? Thanks, glad I have that sorted out.

Granted, it's only a shack, but still...

I am currently using Foryn Gilnith's shack in Seyda Neen as a home and storage facility, but since it's not that big, the containers are full. So my question: can I throw (at least here) stuff to the ground and will it stay there?

Medium-to-serious problem

I'm literally 'running behind' on my levelling!
Here's the thing: When I gained lvl 7, I had to spend an insanely long time raising my Acrobatics skill for the *5 Strength modifier. So long, in fact, that it put me in a position where I could gain 2 lvls at a time. But the second one would not be ...

But on the sneaking... I think I figured out the cause, though I still don't know the 'cause of the cause' When sneaking, the sneak icon simply doe not appear! It only appears sometimes, very infrequently, and always when there's no-one around...

Thanks for the help. But, I can understand that it is very difficult to raise, but the thing is that even the 'progress toward skill improvement' bar does not rise one bit, not even 1/100...

Got any clue on the levels?

Sneaking? Not for me! (And something weird on levelling)

Well, up to this point in the game, I haven't yet had need of the sneaking skill. But I figure, a skill is a skill, so I might as well raise it. Nope, nada, nothing. Not while sneaking and standing still, not while sneaking and moving, not while sneaking behind people, not while sneaking in plain ...

'You should rest and meditate on what you've learned'

Is there a special incentive for making your level-up's, or can you just, if you're not yet in possession of the multipliers you want/need, say 'the hell with it' and play on? Or does this have some kind of negative effect?

Ok, thanks. Now, about the whole enchanting. The thing that really has me wondering is, that, while I know that with an infinite amount of playing time you could potentially max out all skills, it's the stats (strength, intelligence, personality,...) that have me worried. A lot of the 'intellectual ...

Ok, thnx; it sure seems this is going to stick around for a while. Now some other questions: can you choose whether to slash, chop, or thrust with a weapopn, if so, how? About enchanting: how do you do it? Can someone do it for you? What is required? I have found some items with charges, are these ...

Yes, the stat menu is fixed by now. I really don't know how I never got around to activating it :D Anyways, thanks for all the help. *VERY embarrassed look* I did have a stat menu... I only somehow never got around to activating it. Sorry!
About the house thing; would the house in Seyda Neen of the tax collector's murderer I killed serve as a decent temporary 'storage room'? Can I put my items in the chests without having to ...
