Rogues are useless.

Six-man party which is giving serious whoop-ass out - I'm 9th level, a NG party which has destroyed the skull. (3rd time through - I've been through the planes already with other parties).

Human Bbn7/Ftr2 - Great Cleaver (upgraded to +3), Improved Critical - 40' move rate ...

No, since half-orcs' favoured class is Barb.

I'd go heavy on the druid, light on the barbarian, personally.

You take Power Attack, Cleave, and the stuff leading to Whirlwind Attack if you feel really psycho.

Most classes except pure mages benefit from at least one level of Fighter. I always, ALWAYS give Rogues some Fighter; I also usually give Clerics one level of it. And the Paladin 7/Fighter 3 is an ...

Sort of like an invasion by the Order of the Radiant Heart.

Paladin/Cleric and Paladin/*SORCERER* (high Cha) would be interesting multi-classes. Paladin/Fighter also rocks.

So 5 characters, 2 pure Paladins, 1 Pal1/Sorcerer, 1 Pal1/Cleric and 1 Pal5/Fighter5 (or so). Could be fun.

But all Lawful ...

Bards make better spokesmen than either.

Also, I don't let my characters die.

Don't get me wrong, I like clerics normally and in PnP. Whenever I had to pick a character for sheer indestructibility in AD+D games such as BGII, a Dwarven Fighter/Cleric was the first name on my party roster. My liking ...

High-level clerics really necessary? (slight spoiler)

Clerics exist for healing. They're clearly vital at low levels when one hit (especially if prone) can murder you. However, do remember two things which I used to great advantage in my last game.

[1] Bards can heal (though not spontaneously cast) - and Cure Light Wounds is a 1st level bard spell.

"Talk" to the NPC and tell them to, erm, hit the road.

Note that some bigger NPCs might not take kindly to this. (/hint)

Broken Spells [one is spoily]

I've found that the following spells are really useful.

Two are Clerical spells from the War domain.

1. Spiritual Weapon.
This isn't useful so much for its attack potential (unless your Cleric has a high BAB - mine nearly always have some levels of Fighter, so that's possible) as for the fact that ...

Thief, no. Sneak attacker, yes.

In PnP, thieves do several things: open locks, sneak attack and disarm traps.

The door opening stuff in ToEE is BROKEN. You're better off with a Sorcerer or Wizard - especially a Wand of Knock.

However, a Fighter/Rogue (especially tipped towards Rogue, e.g. Ftr1 ...
