Hi all i just bought the collecters edition and when i go to install the hearts of winter expantion all it does is uninstalls every thing. help what...

Because when you install an expansion, it overwrites a good amount of game files, permanently editing them.

hello forum...everytime i go into combat i have to put the weapons back into my players hands..any idea why this is? thanks

Maybe you have a hotkey bound to a slot not filled with a weapon? Try filling all of your weapon slots.

Is it more efficient to use 4 characters instead of 6 in IWD 1 or is it just asking for trouble? Either way I was searching around for a good party...

Maxed means as high as possible, usually 18 except for some races (19 con and 17 dex for dwarves for example).

This is my first time playing IWD but I just finished the BG series and want to give the infinity engine another go...a couple of quick questions...

Mages can get an additional memorized spell slot if they were specialist mages (i.e. conjurer, invoker, etc.). Regular mages will only get the one.
