I was playing BG1 after installing Tutu, everything's working fine until I finally manage to kill Sarevok.

Correct. :) And about the final save, it's not been fixed yet but you can always choose to export your character before the final fight if you wanted...

Yes it does, but not with the BG2 rate (pickijng 2locks would get you from level 1 to 2 if that where the case).

Yup, I've found mages pretty useless in BG1. It's ridiculously easy to beat the game without a mage (or any spell casters) in the team.

You don't have to use Gatekeeper to pull up your reputation. Just take some of your excess money and find the nearest temple and start donating....

It is totally absurd that when I choose my main character to be a cleric/ranger only 1 spot for a weapon was provided. This is highly dangerous...
