Details: Within the Catacombs, you'll come across an ancient tome that will grant you this quest when you read it. Search for a stairway between eight pillars elsewhere on the level and head down it. Battle your way through quite a few skeletons and rhinomen to find another book that will grant you the Guardian spell when you read it.
