An Elven prospector gave Deru this key along with a treasure map he claimed was probably phony. He seemed quite downtrodden after having spent much time searching, but never finding, the treasure that the map referenced.

You wonder if this was just some tragic joke to be played upon any who sought what the map hinted at.
