Broken World Quest Items: Pages 1-2
| Quest Item 1: Kanred's Broken Staff
|
Location: Dropped by Kanred during the primary quest
Kanred the Mage
|
Burk gave this old staff to his brother Kanred twenty years ago when he first became
a wizard. Despite the many years of use, it remained in good condition until recently.
When Kanred opened his mind to the Dark Wizard, both he and his staff were overwhelmed
with far more magic than either was able to handle. Kanred became a mindless minion,
brutal and insane, and the staff became brittle and worn.
When Burk grabbed it to prevent Kanred from attacking the Dryad Outpost, the staff
snapped. Unaware of what had happened, Kanred continued to wield this fragment until
his death at your hands.

|
| Quest Item 2: Kanred's Staff
|
Location: Gained at the end of the primary quest
Kanred the Mage
|
This staff belonged to Kanred the Mage until you were forced to kill him.
After you returned the broken fragment of the staff to Kanred's brother Burk, he managed
to repair it. However, it's very fragile and would likely break again if it was used
for anything forceful.
Burk suspects that it can disarm the magic Kanred cast on cave entrances around the
Outpost.

| Quest Item 3: Kirani's Password
|
Location: Gained at the end of the primary quest
The Mage's Tutor
|
After speaking with Kirani at the Dryad Outpost, you learned that Warden Celia is
out on patrol within a sealed area in the hills.
You convinced her to give you the password to get past the guardian statues sealing
the area, and you scrawled 'peace and order' onto this piece of paper to ensure you
won't forget it.

|
| Quest Item 4: Glorydeep Ruby
|
Location: Given to you at the start of the secondary quest
Hunt for the Lost Dwarves
|
Yoren Glitterdelve told you about the Lost Dwarves of Glorydeep Mine, and gave you
this ruby in exchange for your help inlooking for them.
He is convinced that the ruby proves they have found an exceptional mine, and they
disappeared to hoard its riches for themselves.

|
| Quest Item 5: A Leather-Bound Backpack
|
Location: Dropped by Anya during the secondary quest
Anya
|
You found this backpack on the dryad Anya's body after you killed her. When she was
turned into a bound creature, Anya murdered her sisters and then stole this pack from
her form partner, Tomas the Merchant.
The pack is bulky and well-worn, and appears to contain an assortment of baubles,
trinkets, and heavy stones. It smells faintly of crushed sage.

|
| Quest Item 6: An Ancient Tome
|
Location: Found in a cave in the Blasted Valley (the
Blasted Valley, #4)
|
You discovered this old tome in a winding cavern in hills near the Dryad Outpost.
It is in poor condition, but the text within it still appears to be legible.
Unfortunately, it is written in an unfamiliar language.
A slight aura of power surrounds it, and the cover is warm to the touch.

|
| Quest Item 7: Eliza's Locket
|
Location: Dropped by Eliza during the secondary quest
The Missing
|
You found this sundial-shaped bronze locket on a tarnished silver chain around
Eliza's neck when you killed her. She had become a bound creature and you were
forced to defend yourself.
You recognize the portraits as those of her husband, Soram, and her young son,
Arlen.
While you're saddened by the necessity of her death, at least her family will know
that she's no longer suffering.

|
| Quest Item 8: A Bound Terrak Beak
|
Location: Dropped by the first bound terrak that you kill while working on
Naturalist Ithara's Research
|
Naturalist Ithara asked you to bring her samples from the bound creatures around the
Outpost. This beak should do nicely.
The beak is smelly and encrusted with blood, but what really catches the eye is the
metal plating enclosing it. No wonder the poor creature was so agitated.
|
|
| Quest Item 9: A Bound Human Hand
|
Location: Dropped by the first bound human that you kill while working on
Naturalist Ithara's Research
|
Naturalist Ithara asked you to bring her samples from the bound creatures around the
Outpost. This hand should do nicely.
The grisly appendage looks normal at first glance, but closer examination reveals that
the skin is exceptionally tough and leathery. If you hadn't cut it from the body yourself,
you would have doubted that it could have come from a human.
|
|
| Quest Item 10: A Bound Hyena Head
|
Location: Dropped by the first bound hyena that you kill while working on
Naturalist Ithara's Research
|
Naturalist Ithara asked you to bring her samples from the bound creatures around the
Outpost. This head should do nicely.
It is a strange looking; a metal helmet covers most of the head and lacks holes for
both the eyes and the nose. When you pry its jaws apart, you're shocked to discover
an eyeball stitched to the end of the tongue!
