Ok, in my experience, the extract button is the button that lets you "unzip" files to directories. So click on the zip files, then your winzip will unzip the files that are contained in the zip file. Then click on extract and the program will give you an option for where to place the unzipped files ...

Dual-Classing and Strongholds (Something New, I hope)

Hi, everybody

Looking at the subject, you guys might think that this post is a total rehash of just a powergamer who wants to get multiple strongholds. Well, that is partly true. I'm asking this question for powergaming purposes, but it's not old and done-to-death stuff, I hope.
I've read many of ...

ok, just tried out all the keys whose functions I didn't know on the keyboard. Found out the L key Hellion referred to was actually the X key in BG2. So I've now found the Sling of Arvoreen. Thanx a lot to Hellion for replying and even more thanx to Gamebanshee for its thorough walkthrough with the ...

Umm, just tried it, but got nothing..... I even tried ctrl-L, shift-L, and alt-L. Nothing. http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/frown.gif

Thanx for your prompt reply, though, Hellion. That is much appreciated.

However, I still don't know where the Sling of Arvoreen is supposed to be... where is it ...

Sling of Arvoreen

Hi, everyone

After I finished the Beholder Dungeon area, I decided to read through the walk-out on Gamebanshee to find out if I missed anything in the area... and I did!! I didn't find the small niche where the Sling of Arvoreen is located. How do you use the x,y coordinates they give you in the ...

Rune Symbols in Planar Sphere

Is there any way to solve the space with four runes on the floor puzzle other than trial-and-error or reading the walkthrough on Gamebanshee? Because I could not find any hints in the game or manual to suggest what the correct order would be. All the other puzzles in the game usually can be solved ...

Ranger in Umar Hills

In the Walkthrough on this site, it states that if you buy the kids the ale as a Ranger, you lose your stronghold. So what happens if you just buy them the bastard swords? Do you still lose your stronghold as a Ranger?

Harper Quest

Hi, everybody

I know that there's been a lot of posts on the harper quest lately, but I read through them all, and couldn't find anything on my particular situation. What's going on is that after I kill Dermin, supposedly Terminsel/Elminster should come and give me the Harper pin, right? but he ...

Interesting side occurrence with Neeber

This weird occurrence just happened with Neeber today. I was getting so sick of his constant yapping, and was getting ready to whack him (I already endured a lot of his inane comments... and I mean A LOT). Just as I put the sword icon on him, he said something like "Wow, you've been so nice to me, I ...

Knights of Solamnia

Hi, everybody,

I was just wondering if only mages are allowed to finish the quest of sending the Knights of Solamnia home...ie. you would only get the quest if you're the owner of the sphere.

Thanx very much

Yes, I have gone through the whole spiel with Saerk and convincing him not to become a vigilante. So now all I have to do is wait for the messenger to come? What's the x number of days that I have to wait for?

Since I'm not playing as a female PC, there is no romance. *sigh* I don't like having ...

Well, I'm not planning on taking him through the game... that's what's troubling me.

As well, I've already had him in my party, then dropped him, so I don't think that he'll automatically gain level on his own, right? Otherwise the game could get pretty weird, where every single NPC has an ...

Knighting Anomen

Hi, I'm a new BG2 player, going through the game for the first time. I'm just wondering if getting Anomen to cleric level 15 is the only way to get him knighted. I don't want to waste all those experience on him, but I just want to see what the knighting is like.

Thanx a lot for your responses
