The computer itself is only a year and a half old...I completely 'flattened' the hard drive before I reinstalled the recovery discs. So, there was absolutely nothing but the original software on it when I actually started putting my stuff on it.

SoA Script Error Message
I've been playing BG2 for a while now, and I'm working on the Jaheira/Haer'Dalis quests when I encounter an error message during a small-time battle which reads:
An assertion failed in ChDataTypes.cpp at line number 250
Then, I get kicked out of the game and I have to reopen the game. I don't ...

Males get Viconia, Aerie, or Jaheira, but females are stuck with...Anomen. Mind, there are several mods that improve the situation. Some add new NPCs with their own romances; others, like one for Edwin, add a romance element to an existing character. Can't say I've tried that; I've no ...

Romances - any and all questions welcomed!
*ahem*
Could someone please help me out with understanding the romance aspect? I have no idea who can romance whom, and how to make this aspect more fun and interesting.

Thanks for your opinions, guys! I really appreciate the input. There are days where I think I am just too damn nice and 'let' things like this happen to me...which is why I was thinking that I need to be more of a hard ass. I have been trying to think of this in a positive light (i.e. Job upgrade ...

Sometimes It Doesn't Pay To Be Good Neutral!
You know...sometimes I think I am too nice because all kinds of crappy stuff happens to me. And I wonder if I 'let' it happen. Let me give you just one example.

Babies tend to learn more in their first year of life than the next 3 years. Reading her stories is good, or even plopping her in front of Sesame Street can be a good thing, educationally.

Magrus, you may want to explain to her that it is ok to wander from her (and your) original intentions with one another. It's ok to explore new territory in your relationship. It's perfectly natural to have your feelings become more intimate with one another. Whoever said that you had to stick to ...

Thanks for your consideration, CM...however, I am fine with it now. I have survived and am looking forward to at least having a long-term relationship with my new love interest. He definitely seems and acts more mature, understanding, and mentally stable than my ex. About 5 years ago, I would've ...

Thanks for your encouragement, DW! I wish 'hurt' was the word. At that exact moment, there wasn't a word in Webster's Dictionary that could describe what I was feeling at the time. Needless to say, I threw the hoochie out the front door (without her clothes) and locked the door. Then I gave him an ...
