The Prince might die first because the monsters target him because they think he is the most powerful. I know when I fought Draconis, he kept hitting the Prince even after he knocked him down, which allowed me to whack Draconis. Yes, the Prince died and my Planetar didn't, but that was only because ...

If you are high enough level and have at least 3 tanks, the fight is not that hard. You just have to focus all your attacks on Demorgorgon first. Don't worry about anyone else until Demogorgon is dead, because even if you kill his helpers he will just summon more. Also if you have a planetar/deva ...

Monsters especially fail if you hit them with Greater Malison - this is a great spell, along with Lower Resistance to "soften" up opponents.

Lemark - I think it is the color on your monitor that's the problem - I think your "bronze" is actually red.

I'm not a big druid fan, but I kept Jaheira as my only priest b/c of her fighting skills and I hate Anomen, plus there are so many superior healing potions all over the place. Anyway, I was lamenting her lack of spell power until I got Greater Elemental Summoning - WOW - the prince that appears just ...

I doubt you "have" to resurrect him. I just got the game and in 2mins I've noticed a lot of mistakes in the guide (see other post) I'm betting the "have to" take him is just another one to the list.

Guide has major mistake (just got game)

Just got the game. The guide had the wrong levels for the begining of high-level abilities. Here are the ACTUAL levels at which you get high level abilities:
Fighter/Barbarian: 20
Ranger/Paladin/Mage/Socerer: 18
Druid: 15 (they got 1 right)
Cleric/Monk: 22
Thief/Bard: 24

Yeah I think you are right - bye bye Jaheira. Sarevok has 156hp and 5 lots of specialization in 2 handed swords. The guide says:

"Sarevok is alomst incomparable in terms of sheer power, with stats that tower over any other NPC in the game, and a huge amount of hit points."

In short, he's a badass ...

The axe that Korgan can get is GREAT!! I am tempted to pick him even though I am good. He won't be the best fighter in the game anymore - thanks to new NPC - but with the new best axe he will be a killing machine.

They pick from same pool as fighters- none unique to their class. Their MR is capped somewhere in the 70s. I think they are still the uber class of TOB.

You are right, +5 weapons are very prevalent. Although most of them to need to be upgraded from a lower version of the weapon, so will take a ...

Your welcome Yshania. I'm the boards TOB druid info source, at least til the game comes out in 2-3 hours! yes!!

Here is a question for Druid lovers:

Do you think you could get by with Jaheira as the only priest (cleric or druid) in your party in TOB? How about a single-class Druid (cernd or your ...

I agree. I have the guide and there seems to be a lot of tough fights that require brute tank force. I think you need minimum 3 high level fighter types (or of course the uber monk qualifies to). I would replace Viconia for Korgan (since you are evil). I think Korgan is going to be devastating in ...

Monk's AC improves 6 times at upper levels (21,24,27,30,35 & 40th lvl). They also become equivalent (with unarmed attacks)to +4 weapons at 25th lvl.

They really are uber-characters. I would just rather play a fighter dualed to a mage though.

New Druid Abilities in TOB

First, in a slight correction Druids get high-level abilities at 15th level.

They also get the following abilties:

15th lvl - Poison Immunity
18th lvl - 10% Resist Elements (fire,cold,elec, acid)
21st lvl - 20% Resist Elements (20 total NOT 10 + 20)
24th lvl - 30% Resist Elements (total)

Yshania, I'm not sure if this relevant to your situation, but TOB will remove the cap in SOA once it is installed. So if you can wait to go over the cap until you get TOB, then there is no need to install any extra software, nor any need to edit characters later.

Jaheira actually gets 5 fighter abilities and 8 druid abilities at the cap. But note she only has 1 ability (druid) for the first 3 million xp of the game!! Its not until 6mil overall xp that she really starts earning abilities. By that time a single class fighter (like korgan or mazzy) has earned ...
