Yagyu Munenori -- His treatise on swordsmanship talks a lot about spiritual and mental aspects of swordsmanship, particularly from a Zen standpoint.
Those "in the know" revere him as one of the wisest -- as well as most skilled -- swordsmen of his day.

Wait! Hold up! I thought that high Charisma gives you more dialogue options!
I don't know all the specific examples but one is with Phaere in the underdark. Although, I do not know what the Charisma cutoff level is.
Haven't other people experienced the different numbers of dialogue options available ...

What's in a name?
I was wondering if anyone had any insight into any meaning or connection behind some of the names for some of the villains or NPCs in SoA.
I was reading else ware a post that mentioned that Jon Irenicus was described in BG1 as "Jon Icarus" an evil wizard. Irenicus seems like a variation on Icarus ...

I am currently playing a thief and going through BG1. I find it quite fun too! You can get some cool equipment at the Weaponsmith in Beregost: Shadow Armor and Dagger of Venom.
Succesfully hiding in shadows by using stealth is required when backstabbing. (Although going invisible will do it too).

Awh, come on, be a sport! Don't be too hard on ol' Sarevok. There are at least three reasons to put him in your party. 1) A most excellent, if not the best, fighter you can have. 2) He has lots of interactions with the PC and other characters. 3) If you take him through to the end I think you'll ...

I am also playing through BG1 again to take my PC through the whole series. It is great, I am really enjoying it. I guess I am able to pay attention to the details a litle closer. I never noticed such things as the conversation with 'Lord Foreshadow' and such. Also, BG1 definitely is more difficult ...

When I first played the game I was very carefull and would answer what I thought was the 'right' answer for the dialogues as I was afraid that if I answered 'wrong' or pissed off some NPC that I might not be able to finish the game or miss something critical to the story. Also, I would collect as ...

I just rushed at him with my three fighters (Me (F/M), Sarevok and Korgan). Because several enemies focused on Korgan, I had to pull him out after a few rounds to drink a couple healing potions and then jump back in. My other three (Viconia, Imoen and Edwin) dealt with the other minions via spells ...

I had the same experience with the Red Dragon Armor! In SoA I had Korgan wear the Red Dragon Armor and a Ring of Protection +2 and things were great. After I imported my party into ToB I didn't notice a difference at first but when I was having Korgan try on some different armor I couldn't go back ...
