I chose alchemy as a secondary since it looked interesting. No real other reason than that. I'm really not one to follow walkthoughs though I must admit, the guidance through the temple quest in the game is pretty piss poor. I looked that one up and am working though it. Flying over the landscape is ...

Took the advice to heart guys, and went on to join both the Fighter Guild, and the Temple... only to find out that they're foes. Is this choice going to get me in trouble later?

I did the rat quest, very short. I started the temple quest and found that I'll still very ill prepared for adventuring ...

Hello all, new player here (with questions)

Hi all, subject says it... I'm a new player here. I bought MW when it first came out and played it a bit, but it didn't grab me. I guess the openess of the game is kind of overwhelming at first, and the combat mechanics are a bit difficult to get used to after the simplicity of DiabloII's "click to ...

In theory, you go to the inventory screen of your NPC and there's a button in the upper left to disband the NPC. If it's a pet "release into the wild" just deletes it, while "send to the inn" does just that. When you go to the inn, the innkeeper will ask you what you want to do, and you can select ...

I didn't die... I just quit playing. I'm hanging about waiting for 2.3 to come out, but am fairly patient. I'll even start a new character in 2.3 if it doesn't simply release my character's stuff... I don't mind starting over if there is a good chance that I'll finish it. I'm pretty patient though ...

I was close to finishing the first difficulty with my first character and the inn ate my NPC mules. They're just stuck there and I've pretty much given up playing the game further. It was the same with DSI... I got about 80% through that one and the game ate my character... I started another and the ...

It's good to here that my case is a likely "known bug" and that they are considering fixes for it. I can't buy the claim that they can't fix it, only that they might not be willing to devote the time to. I'll be keeping an eye out for 2.3, but until then I'd still recommend against using NPC mules ...

Before you use the mules trick, you should hear my story. I created three mules and fed them up to three pages. One mule was going to be for Ranged, one for Melee and one for Magic. Two of these mules are now inaccessable in the inn. I can't view them or add them to my party. I can swap out other ...

The central head is the guy healing people... get to him first and keep hitting him. Look to the text that is displayed and you'll see "So and So heals Such and Such..." You've got to take out the healing head first, or the fight can be really agravating.

Downloading mods from a guy with one post is a great way to trash your computer. Get stuff like this from a much more reputable source, or wait until he gets endorsed by others. Getting a nasty trojan can really mess up your life. Now... I don't have any reason to believe that this particular guy ...

I'm a packrat and I really must keep one of each item to really enjoy this game. Trashing a unique or a set simply because I don't intend to use it would go against pretty much everything I enjoy about this type of game to begin with.

Altering my playstyle to get around a bug is much less ...

I'm certainly no expert, but I think the answer is "doesn't matter... it's all about killing stuff". If you kill stuff using NM, you get NM experience. Kill things quickly and you're optimizing your time. What you want to avoid is having the monster damaged by other forms of damage.

Again... this ...

I can't imagine what "not so bad" means to you. I stuck half of the stuff I had on those two mules and now they are inaccessable. The game is broken and it's really a crime that they are allowed to publish it with bugs of this maginitude.

My Inn currently has the Half-giant guy from the first town, a dire wolf, and four packmules (two of which are unaccessable, two are fine).

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GTO.

Getting to back ups is not a solution to the problem... I will not be continuing to play a game that is broken.

Corrupt game...

My current (and first) character seems to have become corrupted some how. I have five pets in the in with stuff in their inventory. Two of those are unable to be viewed or put into the party even if there is space available for them. They're just stuck in the inn. I can swap out others, so I know I ...

Wow, wowzee, you feel they didn't put any effort into this game? You must have designed at least four or five better games all by yourself.

Auto update has pros and cons. The designers have made DSII to be able to be Modded, meaning altered by third parties to change the game... sometimes quite ...

There you go... I learned something. So if I swap out a NPC or a pet, they retain their equipment list? If that's the case, can I have any number of mule pets in storage to swap between?

That would be a great place to leave stuff... but the problem is getting it there. I'm playing this party and they find some stuff I want to store.... is there a way to transfer it to a different party in SP? Most definately I'd take a party with mules for storage. But how do I get the items to it?

The one thing that Blizard is known best for is inovation. I predict that DIII will be a somewhat revolutionary style of gaming, or it wont be published. Comparing it to standards of today is really pointless as Bliz is known best for setting standards, not following them.
