elves are supposed to get a +1 bonus when using long swords and long bows. My question is it strictly long swords, or do scimitars, katanas if in that field?

I use to have it also, but cannot find my copy anywhere. O well the game is still alot of fun to play even without making custom weapons.

I would have to agree with Xandax, To me the best armor for my ranger is elven Chain. But I have yet to find better, that is suited for him. That is my personal preference.

I put Celestrial Fury #1, with my duel wielding ranger, celest, and belm, and or cutthroat (trying to go by role playing rules long sword, and short sword combo) works really well. I posted this topic a while back, I started a game with a half-elf ranger, and a half-elf thief/mage. and played with just those two, just about to get to spellhold, so I can pick up Imoen. After playing with all the NPC's the first time through, It's kinda cool playing this way.

For the powergamers out their its celest. Fury, and crom Faeyr. For the roleplayers most use a long sword, complimented with a short sword, like celest. fury and kachiko's wakizashi, or celest. fury, and belm. First time through and I am currently a level 10 half-elf ranger, wearing elven chain from trademeet, and wielding Celest. Fury, and Kachiko's Wakizashi.

I agree with the previous post, Hit the quests around the city first. The C.C. slaver quests, the circus quest in the Waukeen Prom., most of the quests in the bridge district are pretty easy.

Go with celest. Fury, and Belm, or Celest. Fury and Kachiko's Wakizashi if you have the bonus merchants.

I play core rules due to being a role-player.

I created 2 charaters for my game just so I didn't have to play two different games.
Here's who I have so far in Chapter 2.

Kenon: Half-Elf Ranger Duelwielding Celest. Fury, and Kachiko's Wakizashi
Mori-Nu: Half-Elf Mage/Thief Duelwielding Daystar, and Short Sword of Backstabbing
Viconia: great ...

My ranger uses Celest fury, and Kachiko's Wakizashi, and my Swashbuckler uses short sword of backstabbing, and Belm, and they are both pretty good combos.
