I don't find that to be an issue on my phone. However, if you do, you can always increase the text size using a mod (I think it's a built component of the widescreen mod).

Mine is a 4.7" screen.

The iPad Mini is only 7.9" while an iPad is 9.7".

From the technical perspective, you will be fine.

As for comfort, that one is up to you - I will admit that, the games are playable on a phone, but at that point, it's pushing it.

Are you sure? I'm able to run Planescape: Torment through GemRB on my HTC One phone, and I'm sure that your screen is way larger.

For Android, there are SNES, N64, GBA and NDS emulators.

It looks like the Google Play store does have Final Fantasy IV, but I never played the series, so I can't really recommend it.

Bard's Tale is available as well.

For me, having the IE games is good enough, though I wish we could play Arcanum on tablet.

That's right. You do have to install the GemRB version of the Widescreen mod to match the resolution of your tablet and edit the configuration file, but other than that you're all set.

Unfortunately, you would have to edit this file every time you want to play a new game, in order to direct it to ...

Gawain, my advice to you is to get GemRB. It's a free application which will let you play the IE based games on Android and iPad. I swear by it - I gave Planescape: Torment on my HTC One at all times. I don't think you can do better than that.

This will allow you to grab a currently installed ...

1. You get the same ammount of XP, but of course the XP per character is higher (like the Baldur's Gate series). The overall XP gained will be the same.
2. Each monster gives a pre-determined amount of XP, so even if you're 30, you'll still get your experience for slaying a goblin.
3. The average ...

While I haven't played any of the recent Heroes of Might and Magic games and don't know if they feature this game mod, the older games (namely Heroes of Might and Magic III) had a hot seat mode, which would allow you and up to seven friends take turns in playing the game on one computer.

Gawain, sometimes, if you're on a multi-level mission, such as the second floor of a building, all of your bonuses may disappear.

See if you you can go into your karma screen and just press "confirm" to re-apply these abilities to your character.

Funnily enough, the speed in BG:EE is actually FASTER than it was in the original. That being said, you could edit some of the file or make changes within the configuration utility of BG1/SoA/ToB, but I looked around the directories and couldn't find anything like that. You could always add in the ...

Just a small note: the events in both of the Icewind Dale games are AFTER the Time of Troubles. In fact, the first Icewind Dale game seems to be taking place around the same time as Baldur's Gate, where Sarevok is amassing power (one of the peasants at Kuldahar has this information).

The best thing for you to do is to finish the normal difficulty and start going through Nightmare.

Philos, just curious, do you have ToB installed? I just created an F/M/T to double check and she had 2 weapon slots. I honestly can't recall if SoA alone had the same number.

I'm pretty sure that's a BG1/IWD1 only thing. Bards and Mages were stuck with only one weapon slot as well. In BG2 (and now EE) F/M/T and Bards get two slots.

Originally, I would assume that it was to make room for Quick Cast slots as well as other abilities (Stealth, Steal).

Philos, I believe that this is a bug from the vanilla version of the game. If I recall correctly, I resolved it by going back to an earlier save, before I even entered the Docks District. It took me a few tries however.

I just finished a run-through of BG:EE and I can safely say that I haven't really ran into any bugs. The most of it was the game crashed on me twice (though it could be that I had many things running at once) and I had one occurrence of no dialog triggering at the Ducal palace, which was easily ...

You do not get the +1 to hit and damage at level one.

BONUS: The Archer's bonus DOES apply to darts, which is my favorite ranged weapon.

The two other weapons that I use are the Scarlet Ninja-To +3 (you'll need UAI for that) and as well as the shortsword Kundane +2.

Personally, I don't use the Dagger of the Stars +5 at all, because the abilities have fairly low chance of triggering, and when I play a thief, I generally rely on hit ...

While many people don't like the staff for roleplaying reasons, it still remains the best backstab weapon in the game - available in Durlag's Tower as the Staff of Striking (1d6+9). This is also available early on in SoA.

Personally, I don't use bows and use darts instead - you have 3 attacks per ...

While I can understand the disappointment with EE, I think it accomplished the goal. Personally, I haven't had any crash issues and to me, the graphics look no worse than the original BG2 games (I suspect that the zoom feature may be there for the iPad).

You are essentially playing the same old BG ...
