No, thats another skill. Its a passive that sometimes hits with the shield after a regular attack (like dual wield has a % chance to hit with both weapons).
Batter is the active skill.

My advice is to get rid of the whole flame surge line and the wolves and skill up to get a fully upgraded core dweller (you are missing metamorphoses badly IMO) but you can skip wildfire. Put one point in stone form and one in fire shield (to use on your core dweller) and whatever you have left, put ...

Thats health drain / Life stealing.
Spirit has an attack that does vitality damage while doing a % life steal.
Thats probably the source of the confusion....

You might want to consider the fear skill from spirit mastery too. Its one of the tier 2 skills (if I remember correctly, and is called something like visions of death). It makes enemies run away so your ranged pets can shoot at them, and if they dont run, they get a huge fumble penalty.

Well, hate to break it to you, but the nasties with onslaught (Machae, melinoe and formicids) will kill about anything in two hits no matter what. My fully maxed out core dweller can tell you that. He could tank hades, god of the dead, without his health bar even moving, but a melinoe blademaiden ...

Actually, its possible to stand outside the gate and summon your pet inside. Command it to go as far in as you can see, that should provoke Cerberus to attack and if you can target him, then open the gate and attack while staying put . Do not go beyond the gate. When your pet dies, run back away ...

Well, theres several skills in storm mastery that gives bonuses to elemental damage. But does elemental damage also mean fire damage as well as ice and lightning? (Does it even include poison?).
Logically, it would make sense for elemental damage to be fire, lightning and ice, but thematically for ...

Against big bad boss monsters, skills that do "% damage" are very good, and the lich king is one of the best at it. Since you are nature, the plague tree will do the same thing for that mastery. The outsider from spirit will also do this type of damage.

Then you are in luck as the Tower of Judgement, if I recall corectly, is full of them as well as another later section (Somewhere in Hades palace I think).
I might not be correct on this one, but I think the underworld undead can drop the charm, as ...

Well, I would definately go with dual wielding for a Warfare+rogue since you will be using swords for piercing damage and to synergize with blade honing. Using dual fast weapons will make critical strike worth it (and theres a lot of 'blue' item swords that give bonuses to rogue mastery. i.e. Dual ...
