This is kinda "normal", everytime I play the game this happens, I remember mentioning this topic in an old post of mine, like three or four years ago.

I don't think this is a glitch, I believe it's more the result of lazy programming, the very same will happen in LaCroix's building, the SWAT ...

This is a known bug of patch 7.0 which is caused by a new plus version quest accidentally ending up partially in the basic version. I already fixed that for 7.1, for your current playthrough just ignore these emails!

Something strange happened... I installed the v7.0 patch on a fresh VTMB and after the tutorial, when I first checked my mail in my haven, I found a message from Mitnick thanking me for getting an item for him and got the respective EXP points for completing such task. I think Jack opened the sarcophagus on the Dane, placed the C4 in it and stole the mummy inside and the key at the same time.
But when you find the sarcophagus on the Dane it is (and stays) open and, obviously, it wasn't filled with the C4's at that moment, I don't think anybody wouldn't notice ...
