There's one in the G3 tweak pack, according to its readme that lets you get up to level 50 (engine limitation?). I'm not sure how that is handled for multiclasses. Maybe you're at a hardcoded limit already, but I wouldn't know how to find out.

For a list of spells and their effects, check Xyx's spell guide. It doesn't have a straight-up comparison chart, but the spells available to only one of the two usually mention this.

I've done it several times, between several different computers, and never had problems. All computers involved were running WinXP though.

You will not get the registry entries, but they're only used for one thing: To tell baldur.exe whether it should display the 'install game' options or those for ...

That's probably the best and safest way to do it.
If it doesn't work, you could try to create your character as a plain PoL and change him to multiclass later via SK. That way he should have all the abilities he's supposed to get.

I've never finished a solo, but mostly because I missed the interaction and variety that playing with a party gave. I like playing duos or small parties of 3 or 4, each member can still become powerful quickly and I found them far more interesting to play.

If you're looking for a real challenge ...

Play on a lower resolution. I don't mean being sarcastic here, that's just how it works. The game uses a certain font size (in pixels), and if those pixels are too small or too far away, the font will become hard to read.

You can configure your widescreen mod to use a different resolution with the ...

The easiest way to install the game is probably to just start the installer directly instead of through the startup screen. Check what you can find in the root folder of CD1, there's probably a setup.exe, install.exe or something like that. Just start it directly and you're probably fine ...

The game doesn't care about the registry keys, but the startup tool does.
Instead of using baldur.exe to start the game, use bgmain.exe directly. That will bring you directly to the full-screen game and you can play as usual. For convenience, you can just change the existing shortcut to point to ...

Yes, get it here.

You won't be able to see all of them in any game since some are conditional, they depend on your answers in previous dialogs.

On-hit weapon effects are only applied to hits with that weapon. General effects (e.g. strength modification) are applied permanently.

The only peculiarity is that when using an off-hand weapon that grants an extra attack (e.g. Belm), the extra attack is actually performed with the main hand. More ...

Watcher's Keep Level 1 - I remember when I first went there with a party in chapter 2. It had some cool riddles, was very challenging, but also very rewarding. Purely from a gameplay perspective I think it's great, although it doesn't have nearly as much background as most of the SoA areas ...

If you just want to change your character's appearance, you can do it in Shadowkeeper. Load the save game and on the 'appearance' tab you can set it.

I can't think of any mage spell that precisely blocks Hold spells, but there are a few more general options. The best choice is probably Minor Globe of Invulnerability, a level 4 mage spell that blocks any spells of levels 1-3.

Other possibilities:
- Blur (improves saving throw)
- Improved ...

Scrolls always cast at level 10. This happens to be the maximum for some spells (e.g. fireball), but not for all.

Incidentally, fireball has that maximum of 10d6, but skull trap doesn't (both do 1d6 per level otherwise) - which is why people prefer the latter for actual spellcasters.

You can leave out the SoA patch. If you're installing ToB anyway, that patch is all you need.
The rest looks right I think. Fix pack first and tweak pack last, just as you have it in your list.

- the 'override' subfolder

- baldur.ini
- CHITIN.key
- dialog.tlk
- weidu.log

I took the file list from the thread about cleaning up the installation ; I just assume that it should work ...

I assume you're not planning to take your little sister along then?

You'll need to protect your 3 mages, so i guess two characters that can go melee would be good.
