Boy, you go away for a while and come back to find that they're remastering this great game.

When I saw that they were going to have an "auto-learn magic system," I was thinking along the lines of giving xp toward the next level in magic (the same as they did with weapon use). I don't know if I'd ...

You shouldn't need to talk to any beggars to be able to forward any of the thieves' guild quests. If the stranger won't talk to you, either your game is glitched, or you haven't stolen the list from the castle steward yet.

Making a character who is always "good" is no fun. Make a character who is redeemed, instead. That's what KotN is for. ;)

Bandit: Because I know something you don't know.
Player: And what is that?
Bandit: I am not left-handed.

Overheard conversations:

Necromancer 1: Have you ever raised anyone from the dead?
Necromancer 2: Nope. You?
Necro 1: Not once, and it's starting to bother me. How is it that we call ourselves "necromancers," and we have never raised anyone from the dead?
Necro 2: Let's ask Bill. He's a ...

In vanilla Oblivion the shrines are just there to gie buffs every time you worship at them, and to activate the shrines inside the temples. The idea being that you had to make a pilgrimage to a wayside shrine in order to prove your worthiness.

Ah; I thought the wayshrines were part of the ...

In honor of Belthan's well-played Monty Python reference, a few more:

I used one of them once, and the front is open. I can't remember if the designer went so far as to have a clasp or anything to hold it on, though. Basically, they are hooded capes. Should look good on any mage-ish character.

You might not find them useful, but they may be what Fljotsdale is looking for (or, at least, as close as she might find).

It seems that aesthetics are more of a concern than usefulness here. Those cloaks have an attached hood, so a separate hood is not needed, and helms don't offer that much in ...

Yeah - you mean the 'glass' of 'water' look? I hate that, too. Sometimes can't be sure you have your weapon equipped, either. And it's the same with invisibility, of course. What IS stupid, though, is that people who need to see you - shopkeepers and such - can see you just fine.
