Thank you, this was very helpful.
About that FAQ, where it says "OR cannot see the character (i.e., character is in Stealth Mode, or invisible)", is that information correct? Because whenever I attack with my character the game automatically disables stealth mode, so the sneak attack isn't made ...

A new DLC called Dawnguard is coming out in less than a month. It promises to expand on vampire gameplay. There should be plenty of E3 related videos.

As for mods, I don't really know yet. Still holding back with purchasing the game.

Just a clarification: that release date (June 26) for ...

I have been playing since the 15th, and really loving it so far. Not in a guild, but groups have been very easy to come by when needed. The story is definitely been very engaging. I have been playing a Jedi Consular as my main, and a Jedi Knight as my alt so far, although I plan to try other classes ...

I have it on Steam, although I remember Brother None mentioning some time ago that River of Time and Phileasson's Secret are North America-locked on Steam.

Ah, so it's your optical drive that's not working (DVD/CD). In that case, all the examples Ares mentioned would work -- they are all direct download to ...

I am not sure how your PC would function without a working disk drive, so the question seems somewhat moot.

Not sure after your last clarification what you are asking for if not for a way to download the game...

The spell making altar and the enchanting altar are also available at the Arcane University, in the Praxographical Center and the Chironasium buildings, respectively. You only need to be a member of the Mages Guild to access those, unlike the Archmage's Chambers, which you get access to at the end ...

- A mod that makes the game textures darker. No more shiny helmets, shiny water, shiny walls, shiny enemies and shiny dirt.

You can probably achieve that by setting the "specular distance" in the game options to zero. If that does not give the desired result, turning off bloom/HDR would also ...

Not sure what you mean by slow, but if you mean a low frame-rate then you might try the DirectX 9 renderer if you had been using the DirectX 11 one so far. On my reasonably decent computer (Nvidia 9800 GTX+), it sent the frame-rate from mid-20s to upper-50s. I was also using the high resolution ...

Thanks for the link. Still doesn't work for my case :( Further online research revealed that there is no support for disabling DirectDraw in newer nVidia graphics drivers, which would be the problem in my case.

This only works for Windows XP. Windows Vista and Windows 7 have DirectDraw (and Direct3D) as an integral part of the OS, and there is no option to disable that using dxdiag.

I had to give up playing Icewind Dale 2 on my (fairly recent) computer due to incredible slowdowns and crashes to desktop :(

Not even Shepard needs a line of sight for the enemy. The abilities are a bit "sticky" so aiming above a hidden target will still allow you and your companions to tear him up with powers. As long as the arc is big enough.

An additional note: Shepard can only arc his/her own powers, not the ...

On the contrary, evidence points towards the fact that the P/R response for resolving teammate's conflicts are scaled to your level. Hence doing both of their loyalty missions fairly late in the game may not be totally advisable.

Not sure if that's true, from all the sources I have read. Here's ...

So in short, I should do one of the two loyalty missions very very late in the game? I got Jack's loyalty mission btw.

That would be my advice. Jack's loyalty power: Warp Ammo, is quite awesome (especially good as your bonus power if you are playing a class weak against barriers or armors). So ...
