Since your other questions were answered already, I'll just worry with the last one.
*Spoilers if anyone wants to avoid them.*
Yep, Mebbeth was Ravel, as was the odd woman in the Mortuary who would stitch you up if you let her. The woman in the underground city who would remove your intestines ...

In a pleasant change of pace for me, I'm actually going to make a positive post instead of my usual fare of bile and hate. Enjoy. (grin)
Planescape is definitely worth getting. It's vastly superior to anything in the BG series, and extra-vastly superior to IWD. (In my opinion, anyway.) It's one of ...

Two fairly newbie-esque questions.
Haven't played IWD in a while, and I'm having some trouble breaking my BG2 habits. Two questions in particular come to mind.
#1. At first glance, there doesn't seem to be a "Thief Adventurer" type script. (The constant detect traps one.) Any convenient way I can rectify this situation? It's a pain ...

Again, I think some of the later posts in this thread are looking at the issue too much from a D&D standpoint. For instance, I'm seeing a lot of complaints that monsters will be too easy to a level 40. Well, given that the PC couldn't reach 40 in the first place in a real game, what's to say the ...

Odd encounter in the sewers.
I was just wandering through the sewers under the temple district earlier, near where you kill the sea troll for Roger, and suddenly the familiar five-pointed purple glowing dimension-door sparkly thingie appears. So I thought "Well, that's kind of odd." and waited for a cowled wizard or something ...

My guess would be that this will be along the lines of the "level 30 Heart of Winter" thing. Possible, but extremely unlikely you'll even get close. (As long as I'm on the subject, anyone else think HoW was a bit of a ripoff? It was short even for an expansion, and yet almost as expensive as a brand ...
