Background

In northern Novigrad, after purchasing a Jade Figurine from a merchant (#1), you'll notice that it was shaped by magic rather than a sculptor. If Triss is still available in Novigrad, then picking up the figurine will trigger this quest. But if Triss is unavailable or has already left for Kovir (at the end of the quest Now or Never), then you won't be able to trigger this quest until after you've completed the quest Blindingly Obvious, which won't happen until late in the game.


Walkthrough

When Triss -- at her apartment (#2) or at the Chameleon (#3) -- sees the statuette, she'll realize that it's a real person who got "compressed." So she'll perform a ritual to free the poor soul, who will turn out to be a nobleman who cheated on the sorceress Coral (aka Lytta Neyd). The nobleman will thank you for your assistance, and you'll end up earning a Lesser Glyph of Axii, 30 crowns, and 50 xp for your efforts.
