1 - Bandit Camp
You'll encounter five bandits in this camp, but you'll also find a random chest.
2 - Darkford
At the entrance to Darkford you'll meet a guard who won't think much of you, and who won't allow you to pass unless you're working on
Paul's side quest. Inside Darkford, you'll find a chest containing a
Chainmail Hauberk, a
Gate Key (which unlocks a gate in
Northeastern Crakamir), and more. You'll also find a random weapon rack that can spawn medium quality weapons. To leave Darkford, you'll have to talk to the guard by the exit.
3 - Bordertown Sign
Be sure to activate this sign to add Bordertown to your Quick Travel menu.
4 - Bordertown Arms
In this shop you'll meet Erik, who will give you a
side quest and also sell you weapons and armor. The chest in the shop contains a
Ceramic Crucible, which is a part of
Erik's quest.
5 - The Thirsty Traveler
Inside the tavern you'll meet Krista, who will give you a
side quest and sell you miscellaneous items. The barrels in the tavern are random.
6 - Chest
Inside this chest you'll find
Bromine and
Sam's Guide to Demon Oil. Looting the chest is considered a crime, so be sure to do it at night when nobody can see you. Next to the chest you'll find a wishing well that you can loot for a few gp.
7 - Aaron
Aaron is a trainer for Bow Weapons and Thrown Weapons. Right next to him in a barrel, you'll find a random number of
Arrows and
Steel Arrows.
8 - Gamfari's Hermetics
At this shop you'll meet Gamfari, who will train you in Alchemy and also sell you alchemy items. The chest in the shop is random.
9 - Phillip
You'll meet the boatman Phillip here. He'll give you a
side quest.
10 - Locked House
If you've completed Father Michael's side quest, then you might recognize this as Father Michael's country house, where he's been building a portal for the goblins to use. On the main floor of the house you'll find a chest containing
Portal Instructions and 80 gp. In the basement you'll find the incomplete portal (the symbol on the floor), plus a chest containing a
Brewmaster's Ring and more. If you place
Ectoplasm and
Mercury into the alembic next to the portal (along with the
Ambergris and
Bromine already there), then you'll complete the portal ritual, and the portal will become active. You'll then be able to take it to
Rotwood.
Note:
Rotwood is a tough area. You might be better off waiting until you can walk there.
