Whats HLA?

I am reinstalling BG2 after a long hiatus from the game, and i ALLWAYS put the patches and stuff int eh wrong order. I just installed the game from the disks, and i would like to know if i should install any patches BEFORE i put ToB on, or just a general list of install order of needed/important ...

Hey man, i understand completely. i had a similar experience when my younger brothers final project wouldn't print a LONG way back. he had Best Buy on the phone and all and it turns out the printer wasn't hooked to the computer

Well, i wont attack at ALL. i cant fling the Meteors, i just stand there like i'm about to but never actually do anything. i then cast dispel magic on myself to lose the arrows, and again i cant attack, not with sling or dagger, but with my dagger i will run up like i'm ABOUT to attack someone, but ...

ok, even after i dispel the meteors, i STILL cant attack even with my normal weapons. any advice as to why and/or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated

I cast melfs minute meteors on myself and suddenly i cant attack at all!

I am a wild mage, and i've tried multiple castings to get rid of it but nothing seems to get me to be able to attack again.

on a related note, is there anyway to DISPELL MElfs minute meteors?

well my guess would be that baelnorns are elven liches, and hence good natured according to the monster manual.

i think one of the patches requires HOTU

Whats the deal with mythril bars?

Can you make magic weapons with them or something?

i know the standard craft stuff, but there is no mention of mythril anywhere

but you cant give the swrod ALL the buffs. it claims your sword is too powerfull to work on after about 3-4 upgrades.

i also just found you can give it energy drain when you get to the cult hideout

I'm sure everyone here has beefed up the sentient sword Enserric a tthe forge at least a few times, and i want some peoples fav combos of abbilities.

i always put haste on it, usually keep it as a longsword, but now and then use it as a greatsword for fighter types. true ...

I have NEVER found a good reason not to play one. you get plenty of spell selection with sorcs, can cast MANY more spells, and dont need to worry about preperation, which is VERY annoying with limited spell slots.

Half elf?

I guess they are usefull in a few ways, but i see either going normal elf, or human having greater advantages.

Half elf is not an effective compromise in my opinion. it just seems a weaker elf to me, but thats just my opinion.

am I the only guy here who plays elves on a regular basis?

Sorcs all the way. i made a straight up sorc, no pristige classes, and he was unstoppable. also, for some reason i get annoyed if i dont play elven. I cant stand having to make active search checks ...

actually he does sell things, you just have to run through the dialogue the right way with him.
