I played oblivion for a long time and decided i would let my stepbrother in Indiana borrow it. :(
I no longer have the disc.
I play on the 360. If i downloaded shivering isles from the xbox live marketplace could i play soley (sp?) off of that?
My only other option would be to wait till the summer ...

Dark Brotherhood. Their quests make you use your mind and all the quests are intresting.

to answer your second question it is a glitch. it will not be in the completed section even though you have completed it.

my only suggestion is that you sneak skill is simply low.
I never have problems with stealing and never had.

did you go in at night? the shop owner may be asleep but she is just upstairs.
Maybe you somehow woke her?

The only other thing is that i believe she has dogs, which may be awake and aware ...

I don't know about him but i never used it before. i tried loading a earlier save and it still didnt work.
i would say it is a glitch that is a rare occurence.

same thing happened with me with my non archer character. I couldnt' kill him with the arrow. I ended up just sneaking up to him and bashing him with a sword.
But, with my archer character i was able to kill him...
so my thoughts would be the arrow is not necessarily a one hit kill, as it says it ...

i can't remember completely but eventually you have to get somone out of jail or something and you end up running into her. you have to kill her to save the person

although most people dislike them i like khajits.
with khajits i find it easy to start the game off because of their acrobatics. i just jump up somewhere and i'm safe. Towards the end of the game it doesn't matter too too much as long as you've progressed well.

if your a khajit you have good acrobatics right?
if you can't roll and dive yet then just find something high to jump up on. shoot down at her untill she's dead.

alot of times the horses aren't wild they are just abandoned.
i have seen horses outside caves, ruins, etc. If you inspect further you will find people or guards who own the horse inside.

i don't think you really want to level up fast. You want to level skills fast.
but it is different for every skill. I'll give you an example:

when there is a person around just sneak into a wall near them (make sure they don't see you) and your sneak will go up.

are you waiting like hitting the wait button and waiting for 24 hours or just sitting there and waiting?

Just keep waiting for 24 hours at a time then after you do it about 5 times or so then just wait normally. Just leave the game on for a couple minutes and he should show up.

so i just finished the springheel jak quest and gray fox said that he needed my help for a dangerous quest blah blah blah. i know it is the last quest but i have no idea what to do next. i have fenced over 1000 gold to the fences except fathis because he wont talk to me, and i have waited forever ...

I know of an item thats summons 4 scamps. Its a daedric staff that is cursed and the scamps follow you EVERYWHERE there is a quest involved but as of its location im not sure i'll try and find out for you. :)

i don't believe the scamps will fight for you. I think they ruin your sneak as well and ...

steal from places like skingrad and anvil from the largest homes.
