The part before you reach the Casino is annoying, on the verge of frustrating. Once you're in the casino and you learn more of the story, I found this DLC to be better. I hope that that helps you persevere.
Still, of all the DLC for NV, it's the worst. Personally, I loved Old World Blues to death ...

Ending bug

SPOLIERS

I've have been playing this DLC so long my hair is starting to hurt.
Can it be finished?

I'm at the vault, talked to Elijah, got him to come to the vault. Killed him. Did not take the gold.

Any advice other then give up and move on?

Just played this and trapped ...

DVD Drive stuck shut?

If the drive is stuck shut for some reason you may be able to salvage it with a paperclip. There's a itty bitty hole on the front of the drive where you can stick the end of a straightened paperclip in and pop the drive door out. Just did this yesterday on an old computer ...

Lock ups, crashes and memory leaks

This game has a lot figgity querks. When I first started playing the game on my Dell XPS600 it used to grind to a crawl towards the end of the game. When I upgraded my video card from a nVidea 7800GT to the 9800GT it really seems to have helped. I also increased ...

Weapon choices (spoilers)

Hi.

I've just ordered "Fallout 3 GOTY" and I'm looking forward to making a RP character (not a ultimake-kill-'em-all build). I'm just wondering will the game mechanics allow me to do so.

I'd like a swift and sneaky character. When choosing weapons I'd like to stick to ...

Getting the MIRV - Spoilers

First you need to get the armory door to open. You need to fight your way past the robots to the very top of the ruined building where you will eventually find a switch on the wall. Activate the switch and the first set of armory doors will finally open. You can look ...

Got it to work

I had the correct order but I think because I had clicked on some of the statues earlier it apparently upset the sequence and my character would get shocked no matter what I did. What seems to have worked was leaving the Circle building, travel to another destination, and then ...

Door won't open (spoilers)

I'm playing on my PC. I found all six notes with the help of the "Tab" key and the codex entry has updated. When I click on the first statue with the bowl my character gets a shock, same with the next two statues. Only the last statue gives me a normal response but the ...

Finding places (spoiler)

Save the game, use the tilde key to get into the console, type in "tmm 1" and hit return. Exit the console and all map markers will be shown. Find the one you want so you know where you need to travel to then reload the saved game to get rid of the map markers. As you ...

I enjoyed the challenge

Just finished this add-on yesterday. I was level 29 when I left it. Yes the locals and new monsters were tough but that's what made it such a fun challenge. I found the gauss rifle (from Operation Anchorage) useful as a headshot would knock them down for a few seconds ...

Spoiler: Upgrading Sword of Roses

I'm playing with the Item Upgrade, Ease of Use, Underrepresented Items, Amber and Solefein mods. During one of my visits to Cromwell he commented on Amber's bracelet with the red ruby and said that it could be used to upgrade the Sword of Roses. I bought the sword and went back to Cromwell but I ...

#1. All henchmen equipment do not deteriorate in condition regardless if it is their default or any you may give them, regardless of how much they use it. (This makes giving them unique items with no repairable components to them an option over using them yourself - a pity though since you're the ...

Lost Ghouls

Occassionally I come across small groups of ghouls in the wastelands who say they are trying to make their way to Underworld. My dialog choices are limited to robbing them or telling them I have no time for their problem. Seems that you should be able to tell them or guide them to Underworld ...

Being Chased by Hordes

A favorite moment for me is when I get bored with what I've been doing in the game I will assign an invisibility spell to my hotkey list and start running down a road sucking up all the monsters and bandits in tow that I can get to follow me. When the monsters and bandits ...

In my last post I mentioned that my crashes were caused by a conflict with a codec file called I3codexc.ax. Well, I tried a new search using *.ax and found it in C:/Windows/System32 and the correct name of this dll file is "L3codecx.ax". The L looked like a capital I in ...

Worst for me: the continual crahes, so you have to save all the time. But maybe tha's just my system isn't good enough, even though it is more than minimum requrements. :(

Yep, the continual crashes and the video slowdowns where doors and gates either stop opening or move so slowly that you think ...

Except for the missile launcher the rest of the big gun are literally "not worth their weight". Even with that I don't normally carry the missile launcher around with me, just the ammo. If I come across a launcher in my travels I may use it to ...

Lazlo Redford

Who is this named NPC? I had my char walking a path between Casey's Garage and Little Lamplight when I picked up a red warning pointer. The "hostile" was in one of those deep paths among the rocks and Charon and my char spotted the threat. I lobbed a mess o' frag grenades at it until it was dead ...
