If you plan on playing ToB as well as SoA, I suggest dualing over to mage at Level 13, not 9. You will get one more weapon proficiency to spend as a Kensai, and at level 13 you maximize your attacks/round with a specialized (or better) weapon. In PnP AD&D, the bags of holding did have an interior volume listed. In BG2, I believe it is a strict number of items, regardless of weight/size.

Where do you find potion bags and ammo pouches?

I always play with the A.I. turned off. It doesn't take long to assign actions to 6 characters.

The only class I'd suggest you DON'T take for your first time playing would be a straight Mage, or Sorceror. They are very powerful at high levels, but are more difficult to keep alive early in the game. All the classes will now gain amazing high level abilities, so you can't choose wrong...

Wow. Just rolled up my new party to replay SoA into ToB. I got very lucky with my rolls, it took 30 minutes to finish all three characters.

For awhile, I had Imoen's contingency set to trigger a Fireshield, if she became unconscious or held. This allows your allies to lay down healing without injury, but any enemies attacking will take damage, hopefully slowing them down long enough for aid to arrive. Well, if this is your 1st time playing BG2, you don't want a party of 6 PCs. The NPC interactions are crucial to the flow of the storyline. I played a single player game, with 5 NPCs my first time through. This time through, I'm creating 3 PCs, and will add 3 NPCs.

I'd suggest taking #s 2,4, and 5 ...

I plan on dualing a fighter over to mage at level 13. When maxed out on xps, this will be a 13/28 Fighter/Mage. I'll miss out on a couple of the 10th lvl spells, but my HPs, THACO, and melee capability easily make up for a few less spells. Also, at 13th lvl, your fighter gets 2 attacks per round.

I plan on finding that punk Sarevok, and sending him straight back to hell. Unless he somehow manages to ressurect Gorion, I hold unending hatred for that worthless Bhaalspawn. I believe in retaliation X 10, so by my calculations, I have to kill this slime at least 9 more times...
