Warning, mild spoiler warning!
I'm having a problem in the Interlude section of SoU. There's a part where I *HAVE* to do a good deed, gaining one good point (heal a guy). Now when this happens, I lose my title of "Destroyer"! Noo!
Now my question: What's the poing of being called a "destroyer ...

NWN:SoU Questions--Many useless items?
I've been playing Neverwinter Nights, Shadows of Undrentide as an evil Sorcerer (playing evil is actually quite fun! I usually play as good or neutral or somewhere in between).
Now I have gathered up a lot of crap in my inventory. A lot of it seems to be "ingredients" to other things. I know in the ...

Well It's OK now. I figured it out. I just reinstalled KotoR, and then edited each file in a hex editor, to see what it looks like inside. Then I searched all my "found" files for targa files. I found one that was the screenshot that KotoR automatically makes when you save the game. I then looked at ...

Saved Game
I've lost my saved games. Upon reinstalling windows, Windows found many fragments on my hard drive. It found some full files, and my KotoR saves might be among them.
I'd just like to know what the saved game extension is. There are other files along with it, I know, like .TGA for the screenshot of ...

Potion Bags
It's been a while since I've been here, but I started playing IWD after I completed NWN"s original campaign.
But here's a question, where can I buy potion bags? I only bought one at the Severed Hand merchant... but does the SH merchant replenish them? I just started chapter 6...

What's a Good nVidia Driver for 98?
What are some good nVidia drivers for Windows 98, running certain older games like DX, Thief, Heavy Gear 2, and so on?
You see, I dual boot with XP and 98. XP has to use the latest nVidia drivers (because I play all the latest games on that, and the latest games are built for the latest drivers ...

I played all the major RPGs, like PS:T, IWD, BG, Morrowind, etc.
What I liked about Morrowind was that the game was really really long, and extremely non-linear. What I liked about PS:T was that the characters were really cool and had personalities, and also that the story was really weird.

Interesting Article
I found an interesting article about realism in games, and how it's being focussed on.

Read it and post your comments.
I really like how the article relates to the games I like, I like less realistic games (ie. Planescape Torment (set in a very ...

Huh, I figured the developers just make a game when they have a great idea, and then they find a publisher to do packaging, CD stamping, marketing, etc. and that the developers receive a portion of the revenue while giving some to the publishers, too. But I guess that's what it was like back then ...

OK ok I get it now, I've read the posts, but I was just asking for some examples. I haven't heard of any, but I don't live in Asia so I wouldn't know. :D

They don't need to spend loads of money to create a great game. I've seen games that have lots of money spent to make it (ie. Deus Ex 2) yet it ends up being a garbage game. Well, that's they're bad, they make a bad game, it loses money, it's how it goes. If it was good, people would still buy it ...

Sure it's theft of property in Asia, how games are being sold for very cheap, but does it matter? The gaming developers/publishers aren't actually losing money (unless they published a copy there), it's the sale in the US and Canada that counts (or Europe, depends on where the company is).

I've been thinking about this. Fable, you said piracy is at an all-time high in Asia. If you think about it, it doesn't really affect developers here, unless they have actually made a different-language version of a game and imported it to Asia. That of course costs money, and if they're not selling ...

Random encounters are kinda good and kinda bad. One thing about random encounters is that it can unbalance the game. In baldur's Gate, you can spend the first bit of the game just fighting random encounters 'till you're level 7, and then breeze through the whole game. Takes a while, but it can be ...
