When I took Weapon Finesse (for one of my monks), I had to select "unarmed" from a list of possible weapons to which it could apply. According to "official" D&D rules, you would have to take the feat for every weapon with which you wanted to use you DEX modifier towards your melee attack bonus ...

That isn't quite the type of comment I would expect from somebody who quotes the Knights of Solamnia as a tagline. Sturm would be SOOO disappointed.

You may also note that no dumb question was ever asked; there was just confusion which has, hopefully, been cleared up. The rules of D&D on paper or ...

Just a quick note. I agree with Lime_Jello24 except for one thing. For Wizards, the important stat is Intelligence (not wisdom). For clerics, rangers, and paladins, it is Wisdom, and for Sorcerers and Bards it is Charisma. These are the character stats that control how well you cast, as well as how ...

At level 2 the monk gains a bonus feat. He/she must select either "combat reflexes" or "deflect arrows."

I would guess that if you select one of those two feats, you will be able to continue with the level up.

Good luck.

I'm assuming this works the same as casting "Haste" on your own party. If so, clicking on the green bubble should end your selection of targets.

I've had errors when Haste would not let me select certain characters who should have been eligible for the spell. Sometimes, clicking on the character ...

OK, as a first level Druid, you should have 3 Orizons (0 level spells) and 1 first level spell. What is your druid's wisdom? Just wondering since that controls some of the spell casting, but should not cause this particular issue.

All right, you just got into a fight, and your druid cast his/her ...

Another very useful feat for a well made monk (in this game anyway) is Power Attack. Power attack has a slight catch to it of which I had been unaware. If you are using a two handed weapon, you add DOUBLE the amount that you subtracted from your "to hit" roll to you damage roll. For example, if you ...

This means that the weapon does one twelve sided die for damage. minimum damage of 1 (plus str. modifier) maximum damage of 12 (plus str. modifier).

The information after that indicates that the weapon threatens a critical hit on a natural roll of a 20 on a 20 sided die. If the threat ...

I know that there are a LOT of people out there who feel that the rogue is a waste of space, but I have thoroughly enjoyed mine. He is an Elven Rogue at level 10 with a +3 longbow of frost. He has improved initiative to help him get sneak attacks on enemies while they are still flat footed at the ...

I don't know about summoning and killing, but I can tell you how I resolved the lack of XP in the wild. I just went into the temple, down around level 4 and used that as my "Holiday Inn." I just found a room that I liked the look of (I like the one just Southeast of where you rescue Paida) and ...

Spoiler???

There should also have been a potion of heal in the same place you "found" the scroll. You can use the potion on Bing and it will work just fine.

That will resolve the quest, but doesn't fix the inability to read the scroll. Sorry.

Only the character doing the crafting loses experience in the process. The game also does not allow you to use enough experience to drop a level while crafting items.

When you take the crafting feat and use it through the radial menu, it brings up an item crafting screen. At the bottom of that new ...

Amulet of Mighty Fists bug

I just spent an obscene amount of time leveling up a party consisting of a monk and a druid (among others). I did this so that I could finally create an Amulet of Mighty Fists. I love playing monks, and this is the ultimate item for them. In 3.5 edition rules, this amulet adds a bonus to hit and to ...

My guess would be that you saw "crippling strike." This is a class specific rogue special ability that takes 2 points of strength from the opponent every time the rogue hits with a sneak attack. It is on page 51 of the 3.5 edition rule book or page 63 of the ToEE instructions.

From personal ...

You need to start with a weapon that is, at least, of masterwork quality. Then, the person who has the "craft magic arms and armor" feat needs to have the related spell. For example, to put "Holy" on a weapon, the person crafting the weapon has to be able to cast the spell Holy Smite.

Does that ...

An idea

You could always save an alternate game, drop him, and see what happens. If the game still crashes, then you know Scorpp isn't the problem and you can go back to the old save and keep him. Good luck!

I haven't had that problem, but I know that there have been reported problems in the past about crashes when certain NPCs are in your party and you try to travel on the world map. Could that be the issue?

When selecting the spell from your radial menu, simply hold "Shift" on your keyboard. All of the spells of that level will "change" to heal spells. select the one you want to use, and that's it. Obviously, releasing "Shift" returns the spells to normal.

The instructions have this information buried ...

Did you get a bad reputation in town?

If so, I found that giving 100 GP to his lacky downstairs (I can't remember his name) gives you a positive reputation with some St. Cuthbert followers. Maybe that will help.

This happened the first time I ever tried to create something, but never again. What all does your sword already have on it? I know that there is supposed to be a limit on how powerful a weapon you can create, but I don't think this game (ToEE) follows that D and D rule.
