Background

After receiving the quest Suspicion Falls on a Friend, if you ask Lugosh (#1) how the assassin managed to poison Xolgorax, then he'll give you this quest.


Walkthrough

Lugosh will tell you that Xolgorax keeps a small keg of beer at the tavern, and that that's how the assassin got to him. When you ask Innkeeper Bashur (#2) about the poisoned beer, he'll claim that he didn't have anything to do with it, but he'll also refuse to let you into the beer storeroom to look around. To get inside the storeroom (via Exit A), you'll need to bribe Bashur with 30-40 ducats, or use Fast Talk, or show him some of the evidence that you've collected to exonerate Salina. When Bashur gives you the Beer Storeroom Key, you'll gain 30 experience points.

Inside the Beer Storeroom, you'll have to fight a few wolf rats, but near the entrance you should notice Xolgorax's Beer Keg (#3). When you click on it you'll receive some Red Hairs and 60 experience points. Since Salina doesn't have red hair, and Aldessia does, the evidence will help you out.

Note: You'll also find a few barrels filled with Dark Dwarven Ale inside the storeroom. If you pick up all of the ale and sell it, then you'll make around 36 ducats.
