I'd just like to say that I'm experiencing the same issue (keys slow in IWD2) and I haven't been able to figure it out. I have BG2 and they work just fine. Using a laptop, XP SP2.

I hate to bust your bubble, Astafas, but if you leave Yoshimo in the Copper Coronet before going to Brynnlaw, Yoshimo will croak upon your return. Why Bioware felt they had to permanently kill off the best rogue in the game, I do not know.

If you know the item code, you can give one of your characters the BMU by using the CLUA console (CTRL+space). That would be, naturally, cheesy as cheese can get.

ToB ending ethics *spoilers*

So, depending on choices you've made throughout ToB, there are three possible endings for your main character: you can ascend to godhood as a good or evil deity, or be stripped of the divine essence of Bhaal and live out the rest of your days as a mortal. I know this conclusion is sort of foregone ...

Having the intelligent sword you can get under the Copper Coronet is really handy for dealing with enemies that cast "Confusion" type spells. Works nicely with Minsc.

As I and my friends always said while playing D&D, each class has it's advantages and disadvantages, it's all how you play. As has been said above, I don't think the purpose of any of the BG games is to create the "best tank". If I really wanted a tank, I'd be playing Diablo 2.

Valygar fits the ranger profile a lot more than Minsc does. I can easily imagine Valygar tracking foes and hiding in trees to pick off foes with arrows, but Minsc? He's a lot more like the Barbarian from Diablo 2, a fearsome warrior with shamanistic tendencies.

Well, you could wander around all of the areas you been, looking for items that you've dropped, but that's boring. I'd say use Shadowkeeper - you beat the Warden of the Planar Prison, right, so what's the big deal?

Yeah, I dl'd it. Reminded me of the trailer for the D&D movie it a way, at least the opening fly-through. I guess the teaser is meant to give people some kind of idea of the general mood of the expansion; "The Siege of Saradush" and all that. I liked the fire giants.

Halflings get bonuses to saving throws versus poison and magic, not Magic Resistance. If you created a halfling wizardslayer, he would get magic resistance, but as a virtue of his class, not his race. Same thing with gnomes and dwarves.

I loved Raymond Feist's Midkemia books. Some great characters and exciting adventure in those. I also really enjoyed Philip Jose Farmer's "The Dungeon" series, which was really weird right until the end. I think that Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time is fantastic too, but it's so bloody long! What got ...

No, like I said above, Bioware hasn't released to much information about stuff like this. The fact that they're adding a new class doesn't necessarily mean that the new NPC is a wild mage; given the fact that players have seen the character in previous BG games, it is unlikely in the extreme that he ...

The exit to the Underdark is in the Kuo-toa lair, just west of the entrance to the Prince's chambers. You don't need the Silver Dragon to help you leave, it's not a hidden area or anything. Actually, I've never tried this, but it seems to me like you could leave the Underdark before doing anything ...

Really though, if you do all the major quests that you can before heading off to Spellhold, Yoshimo is the best NPC thief, and worth the investment in leveling him up. After Spellhold, Imoen certainly does serves as a good trap disarmer, and that's all you really need in the last 2 chapters.

As for ...

In the Shadowkeeper list, you might try looking for Sarevok instead of Bhaal, given that the Bhaal in the dream looks exactly like him.

As far as I know from looking at the Forgotten Realms boxed set, the levels for Elminster and Volo are the exact same as in the games: Elminster is a 29th and Volo is a 5th level mage, respectively. I know "Terminsel" is a dual-class cleric/mage, but that's just Bioware wanting him to be an ...

I've always wanted to give a solo mage Irenicus's avatar, portrait and soundset. I'm sure someone's done it already, but that battle on the Tree of Life would make for some interesting screenshots.

I've had that happen to me too. There are two things I can think of to avoid that problem. Either don't pick a fight, because really, the experience you get from it isn't worth it, or activate the cheat keys, move your pointer to a place outside the pit where you'd rather your character was, and ...
