i must honestly say that in BG1/TOSC i hated bards... got a poor impression from that worm garrick i guess but in BG2 they rule especially blades

As for going solo... well it sucks or at least i think. the game isn't supposed played that way but thats just my opinion. Some solo artist use Fighter/mage/thiefs and some uses Kensai ...
