It seems like there ought to be no way to complete quests for the different factions but the walkthrough says differently

Is it possible to complete all the quests for more than one major faction? Or just possible to do some number of quests before choosing which to finish?

I like my Wiz/Rogue

I haven't played as long as most of you but I find that my 3R/15W works quite well together.

The vastly increased number of skill points (I went Rogue to start), the R skills available (yummm, tumble) all seem to fit nicely to me. As does the need for Dex, Int, Con over St ...

Thanks for the info but I didn't take the make wand feat as it meant giving up XP and I'm way too greedy to do that.

So I guess I just need to go buy as many spells as I can and then grin and bear it, I suppose. Fortunately I saved just before entering the sanctum

I just went in there and discovered after the first battle that I am apparently unable to rest and recuperate my spells in that section. Along with not being able to recall out of there to boot.

As a spellcaster, that would seem to make this piece of the game extremely difficult if not impossible ...

they were there for me.

but the crystal robes didn't look that good to me so I still wear robes of protection +5 when I'm being melee'd and the "many" wizard robes when it's all ...

I found the guy to the north just before the tower and sold traps

I get a lot since my R/Wiz is quite good at removing them. Gotta have every gold piece I guess.

I've done all but the high tower and haven't found anyone and am overflowing with traps at the moment.

If there is no one in the tower who'll buy them, guess it is time to dump and stopr recovering them

I seem unable to beat Baram even though I am certainly a higher level than I ordinarily would be facing him.

I'm a R3 W13 and he seems to have permanent spell absorbtion as his skill. I can cast dispel until the cows come home and he will still absorb the spells I cast at him.

I found the amulet and re-did the talk with the ghoul

and when that didn't work I re-loaded and took the amulet first. I went through all the dialogue I could find and when it didn't work, I just killed him (again through the dailogue in case that was where he'd say OK I'll give it to you ...

This game is starting to frost me in Luskan. I found a ghoul outcast who wants an amulet returned but I was unable to find it.

To the point where I went looking at the NWN walkthrough where it said an amulet could be found at a specific point in the sewers. So I went back, found the amulet of power ...

funny this came up just as I am having trouble with Galrone and the baby.

I solved the ring quest and collected gold and XP but cannot get galrone to acknowledge the baby. And I've been through all of his and Yvette's options.

The quest shows in my log but no baby talk. Anyone got a clue ...

I appreciate the answers - I will be doing maximize first and if I do focus it will be in an area more impacted by focusing.

I am running a wiz/rogue (currently 2R 8W) and intending to take spell focus and Gr spell focus in Evocation as my next 2 feats since I mainly use M Missiles, Fireballs and Ice Storm which are all evocation.

But as I read the description of the feats, it says they provide a +4 to the DC versus the ...

the recipe book says gargoyle skull and magic armor of AC 3 or more. I find leather armor +1 with AC 3 but he will not make anything when combined with the skull.

Is Lth Armor +1 not magical?

what are your thoughts on a wiz/rogue build? I'm just starting out in NWN with a rogue1 wiz 4 character - any suggestions on the best way to proceed?

Can skill points be saved from one level for use at a later level up? And if they can be saved, do they retain a wiz "tag" even when raising a rogue level? Or could I use 2 leftover wiz skills to raise a thief skill 2 points the next level?
